What is you opinion of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and if you have taken the test before, what type are you?

It seems to me that the system is an oversimplification of personality and I am skeptical of the way it measures the four aspects of personality it uses to identify groups. I know it is supposedly popular in the business world, but most of what I’ve read shares my skepticism.

I am an INTJ, from the rational grouping.

I’m an ISNTFJP, no I didn’t misunderstand how it works, those are the types applicable to me. You’re right; It’s largely bulls~~~.

Don’t put any credence in the results. Check the Internet with “Jung Myers scam” or “fraud” and you will see it is not a scientifically valid test. This was discussed in an earlier post. I was forced to take it when working at for the Veterans Administration. The first question I saw was “Which do you prefer, hard or soft?” My response was this was a test created by a demented mind. The next time the most confused schizophrenic patient came to see me, I asked him that question, and even he was sane enough to ask “Hard or soft WHAT?”

When the proctor was explaining about the test determining whether you were and introvert or extrovert, one of our steamfitters said, they forgot one more, “a pervert.”
