My time on the job is ending

Well my time with the big box hardware store is coming to an end.

Several people I work with are actively looking for other work, one guy has left for a daytime position, one woman (paperwork and labels) is leaving next week, 4 others probably leaving in a few weeks. I am leaving to go to another state for college…a new career needs new skills. We have the most inept and clumsy person as our safety captain and he will have the most seniority of everyone, and it will be his job to peer coach the new employees. llllllllllooooooooooooolllllllllllllll I may not be the best at my job, but this dude is close to the worst.

The best part is the boss hired on 5 new people, 2 women and 3 men…

Time to get out. I gave my 2 weeks notice yesterday.

This is not a long term job, pay is too low, and the work is physically demanding. for some. Also the level of detail and minutia is high. Imagine being able to locate a box of 10d nails to within inches inside a 80,000 square foot warehouse.

yes, good news for once 😉

so yeah, back to the central United States for Computer Science…

well, first into Pre engineering for a crap load of math. Then admission into Comp Sci.

The c~~~ talked me out of this years ago, yet she deals with accounting and computer software all the time and makes a pile of cash. I want mine.

Good for you! You won’t miss that place… not for 1 second. Keep us informed on how the college goes. I hope you get good instructors and not people just waiting for their pension. Ah hell, you’ve dealt with worse! Congrats bro!
