I couldn’t find the appropriate thread to add these too so I started a new one.

So much of what I read here uses Evolution to describe female nature, society at large etc …
This was one of the factors I enjoyed about this site.

I’d like to contribute with 2 items that were profound for my way of thinking.
A book I’m sure many have read.

greatest show on earth – Richard Dawkins.

I had studied evolution in school like everyone else but this book explained so much more.

The next is a column from “wired” on the topic of what many would consider the greatest achievement of life on this planet.

How Life Made the Leap From Single Cells to Multicellular Animals

    The splitting of the cell.
Once that happened it was woohooo, we’re on our way, just a couple hundred million years to me going down the highway with my windows rolled down and wind blowing through my hair. 🙂

I would say that both items filled me with some discomfort as the truth of things were read and sunk in. That is how I measure great books.

As an atheist I understand those with faith may not appreciate Richard Dawkins but this book stays away from faith based arguements and only touches on creationism vs evolution.

If you really want to understand human nature, then I recommend:

A book titled The 48 Laws of Power
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_48_Laws_of_Power

Not because I want you to become a manipulative bastard, but because I want you to spot those bastards before they get their hooks in you.

BTW, Many an electron has been spent on this excellent book in these forums. A search will turn up those earlier threads.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Thanks Roydal. I actually have that book and got in on a recommendation from this site some months back before I sub’ed.

Great book and pretty eye opening seeing how some people operate.

I actually saw a young man reading this book on the subway and I recognized the cover.
I said, as I was walking by, “great book” he replied with something to the effect, “amazing what some people do”.
