Even my own mother had two sons and she’s 50% pro-male …. but she’s also “a woman” and at least 50% anti-male/misandrist too – while not even being conscious of it. I have confronted her directly on some comments and things she finds “funny” and she reflects on it realizing what she just said.

As a child, she was stern (a nurse) and didn’t let us be sick from school or anything like that. She pushed us out the door to walk in the snow – even with a slight temperature. We had to be SICK in order to take a sick day.

She would run the home rigidly and rip open the curtains in the morning, and pull us away from play time, or our favorite TV shows, to FORCE us sit down at the piano for practice. Maybe it’s because she was a nurse and she didn’t show empathy for boo-boos and scrapes – even when they really hurt.

I am grateful for all of it and she did a GREAT job not to raise ANY SLACKERS.

I mention this, because I often wondered if it would have been different if she had a daughter. I think I even said that to her once: “You wouldn’t be so hard on us if we had a sister”.

I came across this on Wikipedia.

Once you file for divorce in India:

1. Wife will file DV (domestic violence), and ask for both monthly maintenance, and compensation.
2. Or she may file CrPC 125 and ask for monthly maintenance.
3. She could file HMA 24 to claim interim maintenance.
4. Wife/in-laws will file IPC 498A on you. This may happen before, after and any time with DV or maintenance cases.

Actually there are less women than men over here. The average is like 984 women to 1000 men. Some states like UP (Uttar Pradesh) has lower sex ratios.

But when you look at it from a particular perspective, say, ‘marriagable’ population, the women outnumber the men.

Five poor girls from dalit families (lower caste) are ‘marriagable’ (need to get married, or wil get married), but only one of five boys from dalit families will be ‘marriagable’, because only one out of would be abe to ‘earn enough to be able to marry and provide for a family’.

The women have no problem here; it doesn’t matter if she’s ugly or has a mental problem; the chance of her getting married are higher than the average western woman; she does not have to live alone. I’m sure many of you have heard of forced marriages where grooms are abducted and forced to marry poor girls. That is true, though happens only at remote super underdeveloped communities.

So the bottom line is that women are over-privileged than men by a huge factor. The religious factor plays a huge role in manufacturing millions of manginas who are instructed to tie the knot with a woman or he is an enemy in the eyes of Gods.
