I love pinball (too bad I’m not allowed to buy one, even though I have the money to buy 3). I want to show off a pinball video I found a while back on YouTube which is my favorite.
According to the guy who owns the video (not the guy who owns the pins), the guy who owns the pinb~~~~ affords it by running his own major business. Seriously, I really want this man’s collection; or at least a big piece of it.
Yeah, if I were to build me an arcade/pinball room, it would have brick walls, wooden floor, white ceiling title, pinball games, arcade games, Pepsi machine, snack machine, Silver Knight pool table with Coors Light table light, neon lights, a wet bar and so on.

My favorite will always be Haunted House. It had an attic and a basement.

I had so much fun at my parents’ old house as a kid, playing the pinball machine they had.
I looked it up, and this is the one they had:

“Happy Clown”, manufactured by Gottlieb in 1964.All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. My teen yrs after school were in an arcade for a few hours every day. The pinball machines were my favorite. The song “Pinball Wizard,” was a favorite inspirational song.
The arcade was mostly pinball machines by Goetlied, Williams and Bally. My favorite was a multi-ball machine called “nine-ball” was a rush trying to keep 3 b~~~~ going all at once.
Favorite videos were Missle command Battle zone, and moon patrol.I had $3 to spend for each time I was there and usually left with a few credits left on the machine. What fun that was!
Marry again, Hell NO ! ( Even JESUS was hung on a cross just once)
The very first standup video game I ever saw was actually in an old Walmart store. It was Space Invaders. I begged my dad for a quarter. Back then the screen movement and sounds were mesmerizing. S~~~, that was 1978 and I was 11 years old. Of course it was the best thing ever.
Now, kids, as well as many adults, sit around playing all these first person shooter games, which are of course amazing, but I’d still prefer a real good pinball machine with bright flashing lights and loud noises and sounds.
I was considering buying a pinball machine, but even an old junky one which would require constant maintenance was ridiculously overpriced. I don’t have the room these days anyway. The only way I could fit a pinball machine into my house would be to break down my drums.

I know, right?
The basement has a master bedroom, a theater room, and a train set room. (The air hockey table is at the back of the theater room).
No room for pinball machine either.

the pinball machine they had
there is something about the sound of those mechanical scoring wheels, made the game fun
.. especially during re-set for a new game, the spinning and clicking of those number wheels
really sets the stage for the new game as they spin, zero, and set up.. i guess what i am saying is that, it’s the mechanical sound of the 1980’s and earlier machines that i like
i remember one (can’t remember the exact name no matter how hard i try) but there was a machine when i was kid where you won a free game or free ball
a loud bang … BANG .. metal against wood, or metal to a metal plate mounted on the wood .. hit inside machine when that game was won, you could feel that hit on flipper buttons … i loved that machine, darn, i wish i could remember it’s name, i’d sell some possessions just to buy onethe pinball machine they had

I just checked pricing on pinball machines and it’s unlikely I’ll ever get one. The cheapest I found was over $3,000.00 and it was a piece of s~~~ that most people wouldn’t want.

that loud pop of the ball hitting the inside of the machine
yes, it had that really loud “pop” bang ..and it was loud, like hitting side of machine hard with a dowel or broom handle .. for free ball, like a spring loaded electromagnet plunger drawing back and hitting sideboard inside .. I sure wish I could remember, I faintly remember that it had fairly open area up to about halfway up playfield and then at least one target to hit near center half way up board, if i recall correctly, that target gave free ball .. just can’t remember logo of machine, been trying to remember for years .. this was all mechanical and prior to 1980 .. more like something older from mid 70’s
it is slightly possible that the machine i’m trying to recall was Captain Fantastic
the only thing diffrent is that it is missing center target i remember, but .. i could be wrong and what I actually recall is that farthest center light in playfield just under first bumper that says bonus .. i might be remembering that light as the bonus “target”
.. 1977 Captain Fantastic has everything I remember .. including straignt row of lights up to that “bonus light – target” i spoke of just below bumper .. including large open playfield, and loud free ball “knocker” .. i don;t remember the extra side flipper but it could have been there as i would have been more interested in lighting up bonus for my dime or quarter .. might actually, possibly, be the machine from 70’s i liked and forgot .. you can hear sharp knocker in background at 1:10- AuthorPosts
