Murder Mysteries, unsurprisingly, often use hypergamy as a plot device. A couple of books I have read lately in this vein are:
A Dark Adapted Eye – Ruth Rendell
The Water is Lovely – Ruth Rendell
The Snowman – Jo Nesbo.Ruth Rendell as a woman really seems to get it.
They are coming out with a Snowman movie next month, if you aren’t a reader and want get the story that way.
Just thought I would share for those who want to read some good books.
The Snowman – Jo Nesbo.
Was unaware of this novel until your post and the Wiki synopsis sounds very good. The Harry Hoyle main character must have appeal as this was the seventh novel featuring him.
Thanks for posting.
"My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it." - Clarence Buddinton Kelland
If you read that series, however, you might want to start with the first book: The Bat. The books aren’t exactly sequential but if you read later novels there are sometimes elements from previous novels that might be ruined.
