Speaking of wet, this is the oddest summer I’ve ever seen. Middle of August and it’s pouring down rain with a flash flood watch. Better than being too damn hot and humid.

That’s what’s really crazy. This is the time of year when the humidity chokes you, but it’s not humid at all. Just wet from the rain. It’s actually not bad outside right now. Of course this weekend will bring higher temps according to the forecast, but still only low 90’s whereas the usual is triple digits.

Tumbleweeds are too soggy to tumble. They’ll sit there and rot and spread mold spores.

About late 60s/early 70s here. Been humid(for here) the last few weeks. Only approx. 6-7weeks to go, then it’s all over. Back to frozen tumbleweed.

I’m looking forward to the fall. I love that time of year. The weather is mild. The leaves are beautiful. The air smells wonderful. I can light a fire in my back yard and sit out and enjoy the sounds of the night. Have some brandy and a cigar……… The fall is the best time of the year.

Ah schit……..I’ve some work ahead of me. I only have enough wood for one or two fires. I need to get that chain saw and cut up a huge limb that fell out of a big tree. Actually it’s about half of the damn tree so there’s a lot of cutting and stacking I need to do. I’d almost be willing to tell you where I live if you’d come help me with loading, unloading and stacking the wood………..almost.
