Here is a story about the correlation between mathematical and musical ability.
After Pearl Harbor, the Navy was reassigning the crews of the sunken and damaged ships. They had a problem: What to do with the members of a battleship’s band. They had no practical skills like those of an engineer or gunner.

Women are not ‘mesmerized’ by a man with an instrument that plays great music.

There are countless really good street musicians that would have women lined up waiting to blow them if it was about the music and instrument. But those guys do not have any MONEY.

Female cognitive functioning for the most part (about 90% of them) is not capable of recognizing good music. [One exclusion being, my dark goddess Amy Lee from Evanescence]

Now. With that being said. Women that are into musicians and want to bang them is due to the following reasons:

The musician is wealthy / has money.

Fame. If a guy plays in front of a few thousand people a night, a woman that is attracted to him is responding to his perceived social value and not any objective criteria.

A guy with a guitar or instrument is more alpha than a guy at a desk.

This isn’t always necessarily true. I was in and out of my local music scene most of my adult life until I stopped in 2009. Unless you looked like Rocky Dennis from the movie Mask, reeling in women was effortless if you were in a band. It didn’t matter if you were playing chicken s~~~ bars that held only 100 people.

And believe it or not, a lot of the street musicians here downtown attract female attention, but it’s mostly the neo-hippy types you see at drum circles and such.

However, I do agree that it’s largely based on perceived social value than the music itself in a lot of cases.
