Yea, speak for yourself! I’m in a school teacher state, a feminist state, the contrast in justice here is profound, everyone is a criminal retroactively! PERMANENTLY! that’s why they just legalized weed, so they can be stoned criminals.

Was just pointing out how important Men are as truck drivers to a functioning modern society & Software developers are in advancing us further in the digital age. C~~~s wouldn’t even have 1/10th of the privileges they have in society today if it werent for Men. Sorry to hear about you’re situation though MGTOWER

Nothing wrong with weed for me. I wish it was legalized in the country i live.

In 15 years 90% of those truck drivers will be unemployed.

    Mark my words.

That means ca. 3.5 million men will be let go.

I guess a 55 years old high school grad could go to college, take on 30k of student loans, complete against kids and get a STEM degree.

Unfortunately, there are not enough STEM jobs to go around.

Yep and when their wives abandon them because they don’t make that amazing truck driver salary anymore, guess what site will be blowing up?

I have discovered a truly remarkable list of reasons why women are not necessary for a happy life, but alas this margin is too small to contain it.

I’m not so sure that Truck Drivers will be out of the market any time soon. I think automated driving as a driver assist rather than a driver replace. Much like airplanes it’s one thing go glide along a jet stream than it is to take off and land safely. Also when things get dicey you want a human to take over.

Will truck drivers eventually all be replaced by drones? Of course they will, eventually.

Damn. I didn’t not know this.

    We are a Teamster Nation.

Suddenly a lot of things make sense.

In 15 years 90% of those truck drivers will be unemployed.

    But still being paid.

Airplanes are highly automated. They could take off and land without the crew. But we still keep a highly trained and highly skilled crew on board.

Trains are highly automated. They could do their runs from one end to the other without a crew, and yet each has a full complement as well.

Ships are highly automated. They could travel from berth to berth without any human intervention, and yet each is fully crewed and takes on a human pilot at every port.

Why? Because when the s~~~ hits the fan, you still need someone there to deal with it.

And when the s~~~ really hits the fan, companies like to have someone present to take the blame. Who takes the blame when a robot f~~~s up? Not the robot, but the executive who chose to replace a flexible human being with an unaccountable machine. Executives hate that.

So each truck will continue having a driver present, even if in name only.
