I just realized a very important thing today… Wasn’t doing anything special, it just popped into my head. Now, I understand another reason why men in relationships are not as happy.

Women keep pushing for us to get a better paying job, get a flashier car, a larger home… But all of this never brings happiness. Yes, some things that make you genuinely happy are brought by money, but you always need to slow down and look back at the journey you took to achieve that particular goal. Since married men are like hamsters on a consumerist treadmill running without a rest it causes great depression and their GFs or wives don’t even realize that and just keep whipping. Not saying that this is true in each and every relationship but it’s more common than one might think.

One day, the same men look back and understand that they have done everything but enjoyed nothing…

This is one of the most important red pills I ever had. Marriage is a Sisyphean task. (Sisyphus constantly pushed a boulder up a mountain only to have a come rolling back to the bottom and start all over again)

It’s not enough, it will never be enough, and that’s very eye opening. They have you running a rat race to make them happy in life, and the minute you can no longer give her bigger and better things is the minute she kicks you to the curb. Marriage is a fool’s gambit, you’d be insane to please the unpleasable. On top of all that she expects more and more while she does less and less. Sex dries up, and her attitude sours, and she treats you worse. There’s no making a woman happy.

And perhaps the cherry on top, is that after 20-40 years of marriage, and years of hard work to appease this shrill harridan, you get divorced so now you can’t even enjoy the fruits of your own labor! Congrats, now you’re sending child support checks and alimony to pay for kids that you will never see again and a house and car payment that isn’t yours. With all that being more obvious as time passes, only a fool would marry in this day and age. You’d have to ignore reality to believe marriage is fulfilling for anyone except a woman who has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Reminds me of when my ex (then fiancé) and I working looking for a house. We involved my mother-in-law because she was a real estate agent. We got lucky and found a model home that was just coming into the market, exactly the size were looking for with some extras.

What do you think of this? Is it good deal?
