More janitor work

It’s a bit early to get excited about, knowing my track record with interviews, but earlier this evening I missed a call about a job I’d applied for months ago and forgot about. Not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing, or just the way applications go with how many some companies get. Figure I’ll call back tomorrow after work and hope it’s not too late.

Kind of unfortunate timing as my old boss just left to go work at his local store and I’ve only seen our new manager once, so she hasn’t really gotten the time to evaluate me personally. Guess my three years there and my raise in pay can say some about the work I do, but it’s not as much as I’d like. Don’t have the best references, either, having not had the opportunity to make long lasting relationships outside of work or family. The only reason I have the job I do now is I think I got lucky and was one of very few to actually apply.

Even so, here’s hoping. Don’t know how widespread they are but it’s an armored truck company called Loomis. Come to think of it, they do show up to do stuff with the safe/money/etc. where I work now, so maybe it’s possible some of them knew my old boss. Who knows. Might not be full time but it would still be nice to have some extra cash and get something other than retail or fast food affiliations on my resume.
