Moping up after Turkey

When a world event hit the news (normally bad), I both cry and cheer.

Airlines, planes and crew find themselves ‘off schedule’ out of sequence and crew hours.

That’s when I get a call to go work.

So I’ve had the opportunity to speak with locals in Turkey while sitting around waiting for paperwork.

Every last one that I asked said the same thing … be it whispered.

The coup was right but at the wrong time.

It would seem a rather enthusiastic and excited element of the army went rogue.

This has really fkd things up for the real takedown.

The Turkish army has a history of stepping in and ‘saving the people’ from dictatorships.

Ataturk came to power and embedded a secular culture in law.

Erdogan … they say … wants to be the Sultan of Turkey with a regressive Islamic view.

I was told this is not the last of it.

I had a guy tell me it was only because I was white that they feel they can tell me the truth.

Apparently Erdogan has spies out asking the same questions.

I fear the next one will be very bloody.

One thing is for sure, he is going to take this opportunity to roll up any possible opposition to becoming President-for-Life.

What about the theory this guy orchestrated the whole thing himself? He rode in like a white knight and saved the people (very very quickly, almost too quickly), then wiped out all the people that were opposed to him-judges, senior military figures etc.

Egypt too, every time the radicals rise up spreading their message and reality of hatred and destruction the Egyptian military goes bonkers not wanting to loose the Suez Canal and its revenue to a bunch of rusting hulls sitting on the bottom blocking the canal. The way things are going right now I doubt that Turkey will be allowed to join the EU.

Erdogan is going down one way or the other, under his rule a russian bomber was shot down (backstabbing the russians) also to this day his forces are bombing the kurds (the forces the u.s special forces are on the ground with and helping) and also has ticked off the israeli’s, by not keeping his word on agreements.

Between russia, u.s, israel, someone is going to get rid of him, if there is a coup from within his own military, they had better make damn sure the entire military is taking part. Because 3,000 go getters is not only going to fail, it will also continue to give erdogan his excuse to become a brutal dictator.
