It’s been a while, but I thought I would share this for anyone looking for something to get involved in.

Currently have three projects I’ve been working on.

1. Putting my Computers to work mining crypto currencies.

http://www.poloniex.com has the ability to loan out certain currencies to margin traders at small interest rates anywhere from 2-60 days.

This was added incentive since I happen to have a few computers and graphics cards laying about. If you have TXU energy free nights or grab a kilowatt or just for a hobby.. but the law of compounding is what made me pull the trigger on it.

2. http://www.strategyquant.com – Version 4 is coming out soon. If you are interested in it after the trial, but don’t want to drop 1500.. Just hit me up…

Currently have all machines churning out algos ready to pull the trigger on it this Monday.

3. Foreign Currency Swap hedging/arbitrage

I’ve lost more money trading and thinking I can outsmart the market.. robots are an uncharted territory, but this is by far the safest/easiest way to make returns. The stock market is a scam and they are all random walks. Some succeed, some are lucky, but not me. I had to figure this out on my own.

I’ve written a script to pull data and shopped around as many brokers as I could to find where they are paying the highest in swaps. Basically you split your money between a swap free broker and a high swap one. Go long on one broker, short on the other.

Keep your position size relative to your capital and what a feasible worst case scenario is for the swing. Know the cost in spreads, because you have to hold long enough to make up for transferring/wire fees, and commissions.

I have a database in google-sheets I’ve spent all year on. I am posting this just to share and give back, I am hoping to find someone who is familiar with what these are and collaborate, or who would just like to help. It was a daunting task.

So far the highest rate I have right now is 45 dollars a day per standard lot. If anybody has found a swap rate that has been “STABLE” (certain brokers change their swap rates daily.. so far the ones I’ve seen have been US forex brokers which makes me dislike the DODD frank act even more) and higher than 45 dollars a day, please share! lol

I’ve found some where it is positive interest on both sides, but it’s only like 3 bucks.. I suppose if you still want to f~~~ with it and day trade on both sides you could, but that always blows up in my face.

Most offer a 30-100% credit bonus to margin as well as high leverage… which can easily be taken advantage of with this strategy.

Forex.ee let’s you have a crypto account, which is pretty nice if you are mining coins and want to do something with them.

Currencies are paper things that governments can print without limit.

Real estate is my best recommendation, and the bet that won for me.

Unless you are rich and politically well connected, you should not play the currency markets, nor mess with the crypto currencies. Governments can comes in at any time and seize what you have and imprison you for any number of reasons and charges said governments wish to file against you.

Even if you can stay out of jail, if you are not rich you will likely bankrupt yourself with legal fees.
