Full disclosure. Little drunk at the moment. I read the above on a thing on the Internet. Got me thinking. To me the first way it makes sense is that in the age of fiat currency, value is essentially based on opinion for most things. Words must convince buyers of the value of the thing. Your average buyer may not have direct experience of the thing being sold. He needs some words spoken to him in a specific manner. Deals are often made based on hypotheticals spoken by the parties involved, benefits and weaknesses explained with words/thoughts/opinions. Marketers might tell you they can sell anything with the right combination of words/images. What do you guys think of this notion? And have you/how DO you use this to your benefit if it is a valid notion?

You are right. Today’s money is nothing but tokens. The value of today’s money is nothing more than an act of faith.

What will happen when that faith is withdrawn? History provides dozens of examples, but none of them, none, are optimistic for those who put their faith in fiat currency.

Fiat currency always ended in disaster — except for the elites; the elites always seem to manage to retain their hold on the things that are real in the world.

So what are real things? Well, I’m glad you asked! Leonardo DiCaprio’s Zillion Dollar Yacht is real. The oil that runs it is real. The landed estates he owns are real, and so are the buildings and movable goods on them.

Get the idea? Money is pieces of cloth (misnomered as “paper”). Land, food, clothing, and useful artifacts are real; pieces of paper are not.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

In a fiat currency, you are slowly losing your purchasing power as they simply print more. The vast majority of workers are sliding into serfdom since wages NEVER keep up with inflation. Basically we are wage/debt slaves chasing a train that we will never catch. Ever wonder why we have credit scores? The elite, on the other hand, have portfolios(not all I realize, but you see the point) and are making percentages of the currency that is printed. Then there are the bankers who ARE the FDIC, not our government, and they make a percentage of what they print. Great gig there. The human species is selling itself out it appears to me.

But hey, we as a species are the joke of the universe and it is a great show. The bonus being, we have front row seats to the madness and it is proving to be one hell of a show!

    Philosophy, the female repellent

    well stated good sir.
the abstract thinking ability seems to disengage most females .

Land, food, clothing, and useful artifacts are real; pieces of paper are not.

indeed. paper is good to start fires.write on and wipe your ass with .
real goods value is intrinsic and not always reflected in the actual market price ..

Words can have great power, especially on susceptible people.
Money has the illusion of power, by having the illusion of value.

Its no coincidence they go hand in hand. Both are Lies.

Here is the good part: Customers value good honest salesmen more than they value the item they are buying (If they dont know what they want in the first place, they probably dont care about it at all).

I have been selling Trips to 55+ year olds at a set of hotels I resided in (with a company) and I had a sell rate at over 95% (I think 12 people out of over 5000 decided to go on their own instead of me), and I never had to lie or upsell anything, only tell them the truth of what they would see/miss and why in “only my opinion” it was worth it or not.

In most cases, people came saying they would go to one trip or two (out of 7), most changed their mind the same night when we all gathered up and I talked thru the options, what is what.

So yes, you can sell s~~~ as gold. Once. Or you can tell its s~~~, and you will find customers for even that who trust you.

Its all about personal character. I have set a rule for myself about 5 years ago: Never lie.
I thought it would make things harder, to my surprise, my life has never been easier.

I learned one thing very valuable some years ago:
-Manipulate others for your own benefit, and you will be hated.
-Manipulate others for their own benefit, and you will be loved (careful thou, you have to be good at reading people, or you might get this one wrong).
