Yeah most games nowadays are complete crap.

The only ones even on my radar are injustice 2 (which I’m keeping an eye on, as they can’t seem to go one trailer or article without mentioning supergirl.)

And COD WWII, as WWII was men, and only men. (Unless there’s a level where you’re playing as a nurse or something.)

If they suck, at least we have still have skyrim.

The quality of people online has degraded alot. I remember in the old days people were alot better. Some of them would actually train you in how to play the game like them. Now you’ve got 12 year olds with an Xbox, who have mouths more foul than the foulest sailors that ever lived.

That’s why I walked away from most multiplayer a long time ago. Except for private games in small groups.

I imagine that has something to do with the fact that some very nice indie projects aren’t getting the funding they clearly deserve.

Only games on mine are DCS: F-14 Tomcat and Titanic: Honor and Glory. I just play my old stuff otherwise.

Haha I remember God Hand. A friend gave it to me, claiming I’d enjoy it. I did.

I died a ton of times the first play through or two. I also died a lot in MGS the first time. And way before that in Megaman and a bunch of other games. It’s old school and you can only get away with it if the game is actually good.

The gameplay on old school games was amazing. Punch-Out! is still one of my favorites, but I only ever managed to get a decision win over Tyson with save states after I got older. God Hand is a throwback to that style of tough but fair and beatable game.

Most gamers that love the game and the community are GREAT guys.

I mean it.
The thing is, most gamers that are idiots do not stay in a game for long.
There is a big reason for that:
-People who are not able to form good relations with other players feel alienated from the community over time and leave it because they are not liked, no matter their skill/gear in that game.

-People who love a game and its community very rarely exhibit this for of behavior.
The create a strong bond to the game and its people and it usually shows more the smaller and older the community is.
Sure, we will get the occasional asshole but to be honest it is very hard to be angry at ANYONE once you have so many great people around you. And in many cases, we now that the asshole is just miserable and we take pity on him rather than anger.

Guess I am just old school. Tried Wizardry when it came out and PS2, but still like board games, military miniature battles and role playing games.
