A person that I know has been in a relationship for over 7 years now with the same girl. He has done well to not marry, but that is all about to end. How could have he gave up just being a couple dating, and willing to sign that contract of losing at least half of what he owns, after holding on for so long?

First, a little back story. This girl I have known since she was born, and as most women, she is a professional victim, to which I am sure most here know what that means. Life for her might not have been roses, but she has not known true hardship. I watched her grow up, and I know everything that she has been through. She has had it pretty damn nice.

Years later, she meets a guy, moves in with him, and they go to college together. This guy pays for everything; he takes care of her when she is drunk, which is nearly constantly, and even holds her hair back and all. They are both going to college, as and the guy finishes his degree, this girl turns a 4 year degree into an 8 year and counting endeavor and is still not done. In fact, there is no true end in sight, as she stacks up those student loan bills into an impressive debt. Her degree is one that is flooded in the market and no one really uses. While there is a chance she could find work, it is extremely unlikely and the pay is not worth writing home about. She does have a job on the side, making a decent amount of money for a serving girl, yet doesn’t take care of her bills, even when she had to go to the hospital on multiple occasions for excessive drinking.

Thus far, we see that she is an alcoholic, blames her past to why she has no restrain in drinking, and shows no responsibility with money, because when she needs things, it is because it helps her get over her past, and she has a boyfriend that is willing to put up with all of this. No matter how far over the line you think that is, the next part is the kicker.

This girl then makes her boyfriend feel so bad about himself, that he lets her sleep with other guys, and he even goes to a hotel so she can stay in their apartment to do it. When the guy that screwed her then doesn’t return her calls and doesn’t want to see her anymore, this boyfriend of 7+ years consoles her. She even convinces him that she needs to do this more, and she continues to sleep with other guys. As always, the other guys buy her things which are filling their shared apartment. The boyfriend says nothing. She even recently went on a trip, to which she had a lesbian affair for a few days. The boyfriend has yet to rebuke or have the dignity to leave.

Basically, this guy is letting his girl be a slut, because she deserves the experience as a woman, and her past was rough. He is also consoling her, when these guys stop banging her. So how does he respond? This weak minded guy is now going to marry her, in hopes that it makes her not want to sleep with other guys anymore. He feels uncomfortable with how she is behaving, so marrying her might make her more committed to being just his. Her and her tattoos, to which he paid for some, and some of her bangers paid for. A nice reminder, each time he sees her naked, of when she was not faithful.

This is modern dating. Count me the f~~~ out.
