MGTOW type font.

I like the new type font you have chosen, for the top bar and forum headers, and this very submission window for that matter. It looks like the London Subway font. Did I guess right?

VERY close and good eye. It’s actually the TORONTO subway/streetcar font…. which is very unique we think it’s a good choice for several reasons. Thanks for noticing because we spend weeks on these decisions.

Canada Toronto is a very big hot spot for MGTOW so if you’re from Toronto you would recognize it.

Furthermore, the “MGTOW” letters in the homepage HERO area (man walking alone in desert photo) is our favorite because the “M” and the “W” are balanced. They are exactly the same upside down and flare outward. An “M” looks good with vertical stems, but a “W” does not….. so we searched for a font where they would be exactly the same.

The MGTOW letters in the TOP FAR LEFT were added yesterday and are a variation of “Monsterrat” and “Gotham” which are nearly identical. Montserrat is a Google font and is retina ready for retina tablets and mobile phones. It scales very well. So for websites it’s good, but we don’t really like it for anything other than headings because it’s a little “fat” and wide. It needs to be a little more narrow.

The Toronto Subway font is good if you don’t need it to scale.
So we use them for very specific reasons.

The submission / compose window (just below) is “Raleway:” which we may eventually convert the WHOLE site to. (beginning with the forums). It’s the best, easy to read and comes with 9 different weights. Looks razor sharp on retina displays. I’m glad you commented on that.

Compare it to this page and I think anyone would agree it’s an improvement.
