MGTOW the Canary in the Coal Mine..

Back in the 90’s the Japanese economy tanked.  Hard.  It never recovered to the state of prosperity it had in the 80’s.  This was the birth of the herbivore movement.  Salary men realized that they could never achieve the proper goals society had set out for them.  So they went MGTOW, Japanese style.  This movement has been gathering momentum encompassing Japanese men in a number of sub-categories, the shut-in’s, the herbivores and the PUA’s.  Women are becoming more “feminized” and turn up their noses at the herbivore men (not that the men are interested anyway) and the result has been astonishing and significant due to the lack of immigration. (Japan has never been big on any form of immigration)

In short, Japan is losing 260,000 people per year.  Sixty one percent of the men 18-35 are unmarried and most cannot see themselves getting married.  Cost of living in Japan is one reason, men not willing to become corporate salary men is another main reason and feminism among women is becoming another primary reason.

If we look at the Japanese mgtow movement which was the first mass mgtow movement you can see the result over time.   Population crash.  Despite what feminists spout, men are needed to maintain a population.   It is unlikely, but perhaps women will look at what is happening and say “Perhaps we have pushed men to far.”  This is really unlikely, but what the hay, for the sake of argument.

This may appease the MRA’s but those of us who are MGTOW still ask the hard question.  “Why should we give up anything?”

With Japan as the population decreases I can see them starting to take in immigrants, they will have 2 choices, let themselves dwindle and then be taken over/die out or allow in immigrants and hope they assimilate enough to carry on traditions and defend Japan against invaders.

That said, the birth rate is a possible to fix but only if the current young generation get their s~~~ together, unlikely.

I guess the question is though are Japanese women any more interested in sex, marriage, kids then Japanese men? If they are interested then it is really up to them to get their men back in baby making mode. But again, I don’t see that happening.

Not to split hairs, but I’m reasonably certain black men in the U.S. were the first MGTOW. They’ve been Going Their Own Way for near half a century or so. The herbivores in Japan are just the first MGTOW that anyone cared enough about to notice.

Also I’m not sure how much Japanese herbivores are a product of the economy or how much the s~~~ty Japanese economy is a product of the herbivores. Men who sensibly avoid marriage don’t generally work themselves to death producing profitable surpluses, nor do they produce children, thereby ramping up demand for certain consumer goods.

If you want to see the future for the west, especially women, look no further than the shattered remnains of the black community.

3 dimensional women, and the whiny emotional control-tripping horses~~~ that accompanies them, were never attractive to men.  They were simply more preferable than f~~~ing sheep.  2 dimensional bitches can be shut off with the flick of a switch, and at the moment they can’t sue you for every thing you have … yet.  Should they ever be able to, men will be rid of them too.

I think the reasons are much the same in every country in the industrial world. Allowing for cultural differences, of course, men are figuring the cost/benefit and risk/reward ratios are against them.

The Japanese MGTOW “herbivore” movement is the first one we have statistics on and has quantifiable results we can measure.  Japan is not a country of immigrants.  In fact the first time the country has discussed opening the doors to immigration in a positive way was in 2014.

Women in Japan are reaching the same levels of uninterest in sex as men.  41% of women and 61% of men are not looking for relationships, marriage or children.  For the women the reasons now are slightly different.  They don’t want to give up their careers or become housewives.  In Japan it is highly discouraged for the woman to work after getting married.

Thus between the women and the men the birth rate is at 1.3.  This has the government terrified as the population gets older and there are not enough workers to support the economy or tax base.

Men in Japan value being corporate slaves far too much. I imagine this is changing however.

Actually we do have quantifiable measurements of the economic destruction in the black community wrought by driving men out of family life. It’s just that publishing these numbers is deemed “racist”. Also the economic malaise in the black community is unlikely to bring down the entire country, unlike in Japan. So like I said, the herbivores aren’t the first MGTOW, they are simply the first MGTOW demographic anyone gave a f~~~ about.

That’s still a 20% difference, which is a huge gap, and I suspect it’s largely economically and hypergamy driven. The Japanese economy has been f~~~ed for decades, so there simply aren’t a lot of affluent men there for those women to marry up to. So given the choice between keeping their careers or marrying sideways (marrying down is unthinkable to most women), they are naturally choosing their careers.

But give it ten years. Most are still in their 20s right now. Wait until they start hitting their thirties and see nothing but decades of more and more work stretching out ahead of them.

The government should be terrified, but not because there won’t be enough people to support the economy. There will be. There just won’t be enough people to support all that the government has come to expect to skim off the top of the economy. It’s more than just raw birth rates doing this. Men with children produce much larger surpluses than men without children. A single man alone need only produce enough for himself. Economies don’t depend so much on those surpluses; economies can run very lean and still roll along just fine. However governments, especially socialist governments buying votes with tax dollars, really really do depend on those surpluses, and they are drying up fast.
