This is true. I used to work in an office full of women (I was the only man in a large, open room arrangement). The vulgar, offensive, crude, and rude things they said were far more shocking than anything I’ve ever heard in male spaces like machine shops or factories or vocational classes I’ve taken.

My experiences from 30+ years ago working in factories over the summer confirm it as well. Not all were openly vulgar, but the ones that were, were worse than the men.
