There appears to be ex AFVM members left the site and refuse to be MRA, they don’t describe themselves as MGTOW however technically they are since they are against marriage.

If the hostility is because of Internet Feminists invading it, I can imagine them being upset that someone dare think men need a voice, when they believe men control everything.  Men Going Their Own Way is like to have them scream “Run coward”, and then later on maybe they yell, “Come back and fight” after MGTOW happen to not return and play by their own rules.  If the hostility is men on men, it could be a broken window issue (a single broken window can cause an entire community to become a mess).  One MGTOW forum I was on, I had someone particularly going off on me, and wanted to drop the banhammer on me, and get me kicked off for myself using the term “manchild” in regards to myself.  I said in the context of I need to get to personal development and take better responsibility.  So, hostility can happen.

I think keeping this men only makes it a safer place to discuss.  That could be part of it.

They can’t, simple as. One of the first lessons of self defence is that the single easiest way to defend yourself against an aggressor is simply to walk away from them, they cannot fight you if you’re outside of their reach.

The absolute best women can hope for now is that they can somehow persuade some MGTOW to not turn their backs on women entirely. The vast majority of MGTOW will never return to the plantation (assuming they were ever there to start with, many younger MGTOW have dodged the marriage trap entirely up to this point in their lives and have no intent of falling into it now) but may be convinced to partake in a truly equal partnership in a truly equal society if and only when women themselves have dismantled the current gynocentric and misandrist excuses for such we have now. Here in Australia, the latest thing seems to be banging on about the gender pay gap and domestic violence and how men are just overpaid evil women bashers behind closed doors.

You see it in politics, news media and posters at train stations and similar. I can tell you for a fact men here are f~~~ing over it and getting sick and tired of being demonized. We are a bit late to the party compared to USA and Canada, but we are finding out about MGTOW gradually here.

Yeah, and the so-called unbiased ABC and SBS news keep spewing that s~~~ as well. The moment I heard the anchor say “male dominated fields” was the day I turned TV off permanently.

This is in no way an actual attempt to “go back to the plantation” on my part so to speak, but I always like looking at things from all angles. I was thinking the other day if there would be ever, a chance that I would go back to being a proactive dater and have kids and so on and so forth, marriage and all that crap, and I realized how deeply ingrained red-pill knowledge is in me. I just can’t do it, and don’t think I ever will. I don’t always actively think about the negatives of relationships and marriage, but the moment that I thought about what I would have to do, have to sacrifice, hand over, and so on to keep a woman, I instantly felt shocked and sickened.

There IS a connection of Anita Sarkeesian through Gamergate to MGTOW.  I found out about MGTOW looking up Gamergate stuff, which I cover on my YouTube channel, because I was trying to find out all the problems with the videogame industry, and saw that the whole agenda media folk who see videogames as a media for cultural transformation jump into it, and began to spin everything BUT gameplay, as mattering.  Along the way, individuals in the anti-feminist side (Sargon of Akkad, Mundane Matt, and some atheists) would talk about things, and MGTOW popped up.  So, that is how I first learned about MGTOW.  YouTube suggested MGTOW related videos due to the search.  I think someone had said they a connection between MGTOW and people who play videogames, so that drove myself to do more research.  I then ended up here.
