I thought I would post this thread for any MGTOW’s out there who are vegan or who are interested in veganism. I think probably most MGTOW guys aren’t interested in veganism, cuz you know, most guys/people aren’t. Alot of vegans in western countries tend to be leftist, and this is in part because 80% of vegans are females… This tend to put alot of people off and I can see why MGTOW could be put off by that. But I think veganism is for everyone, and you should “judge the christ, not the christians”.

Anyway I am vegan because of three basic reasons:

    a) It is environmentally sustainable
    b) It is ethical
    c) It is healthy (as long as your eating mostly whole foods)

Here is a video discussing the topic of MGTOW and veganism.

But anyway I am MGTOW and vegan, anyone else out there?

If you have any questions, curiosities or objections I would be happy to answer/listen. But don’t take too long because if I don’t tell people about veganism at least once an hour I’m likely to explode.

This is an interesting topic. I’m a vegetarian (not vegan), but certainly not a leftist LMAO!

Last time I ate meat was when I was 15, over 20 years ago, but even as a little kid I didn’t really want to eat meat. But I could imagine that being a vegan is much more difficult than being a vegetarian?

I don’t mind if you’re vegan, but I do hate it when vegans say “it’s ethical” like they’re some how more “moral” than meat eaters. Organizations like PETA for example do that and I hate that.

As for my stance on it, I’ve always ate meat and vegetables. And any time I try to go without meat for a couple of days, I tend to get really weak because of the lack of protein.

I know you can get protein out of plant/vegetarian based diets also, but it’s just easier and more convenient to eat meat, eggs, and cheese to get those essential proteins your body needs.

Plus, I love steak, fish, and pork chops. They’re my favorite types of food.

A few years ago, when I was 49 years old, I went cold-turkey vegan for 30 days. I did it because I was considering joining the Air Force Reserves before I hit the, you’re-50-years-old-and-too-old-to-fix-jets-asshole, cutoff point, and I had only 30 days to do it.

But there was a barrier — my cholesterol was 285 and the maximum allowed was 150. So in spite of being pretty fit and eating healthy already, my blood tests said otherwise.

So I went pure vegan and stopped drinking coffee (caffeine raises cholesterol) in the off chance that it would help. Thirty days later I went back for a new blood test and was shocked…SHOCKED at what I found. My cholesterol had dropped to 150!

My doctor, the same one who said my high cholesterol was genetic and that I’d have to be on statins my whole life, could not believe the results of my blood test.

So I’m a believer in the health benefits of eating vegan. Though I have to admit, it’s pretty damn hard to eat that way all of the time.

First off; Vegan is not healthy lifestyle choice; some people can eat that way but most of us would have poor heath.

I am a good example of this, most of my food is meat to keep me healthy. Look that the nutritional value of 4 oz of tuna or beef and compare that to the vegan tofu or whatever “those people” eat.

Also note that I am commenting on this thread and not creating it. It is only the wacky-vegan-religion people that preach the delusion that vegan is healthy. If there is a heath benefit it most likely comes from not eating so much processed-food-crap sold in western countries.

So now to the poster I write this: Try to get healthy by eating some nice-fresh-fish ~6oz cooked in some bacon-grease(about tbl spoon); then some vegetables cooked with butter with some potatoes or rice. Do not make the portions too big.

People like myself love the fact that you found food choices that work for you, but are tired of the preaching a bad lifestyle.

I agree with fearless regarding ethics and what you eat. To me, that’s not a winning argument at all. I don’t know you personally, but I’ve know quite a few vegans/vegetarians who love to boost their own ego by letting everyone how great their eating habits are and think everyone should be more like them. Hence, why the lifestyle is so attractive to women.

As well, the lifestyle works better for women. Most men who want to be healthy are also interested in keeping their strength up, which is more difficult to do without meat. As well, because eating is often a social thing, it’s much easier for a woman to have a salad with her girls then it is for a man to do the same.

That said, I have gone vegetarian before for a month or so and found it beneficial. For the most part though, I think avoiding processed foods, selecting organic options, variety, and moderation are a better way to go.

Also, I can’t really look at your vid, but curious as to the connection between veganism and mgtow.

    Ok. Then do it.

I am 100% vegan – but accept anyone’s lifestyle choice. It works for me or I wouldn’t do it. Went total vegetarian over 20 years ago then vegan in 2010. 6’2″ 176 lbs – 150 cholesterol low body fat and I’m 55 years old. But….rest of my family all meat eaters. I’m with a woman born and raised in Kazakhstan who grew up on meat. She cooks almost all her meals – and always with meat – but no processed American crap. Is 33 yrs old, 125 lbs and a size 2. Average American land whale more like 170 lbs and size 16 – so proof it’s the quality of food that counts

Plants are the base of the food chain thus are a rather efficient source of energy. Your reasons as to why are pretty good. But I take issue with the notion that plants don’t feel pain. Apart from that I don’t seen an issue.

The forces of evolution shaped the human body to survive mostly on plant-based foods with meat as a rare treat.

I have many vegetarian friends and one or two vegan friends. The foremost vegan recommends these books.

I treat veganism like I treat religion. Whatever floats your boat but I don’t want to hear about it.

I don’t have anything against vegans but I could never be one. I plan to move to the woods and you pretty much need to eat meat out there.

I love meat, man. That’s never going to change.

And you need to keep an eye on people like Vegan Gains. He’s giving a bad rep to the vegan community.

I eat meat pretty much everyday, hardly exercise, diabetic and am 63 YO. I just had my cholesterol checked and it was 150. My Dr. wants me to stay on statins to get my LDL below 100, it is currently at 101. So what gives?

I don’t believe that meat is a rare treat. Men went out hunting often and ate mostly meat after a successful hunt. They would cook some meat over an open fire and eat it that way if their teeth were good or use flint knives to help cut it up. They would do this all the way back home. Meat is a good source of protein and a good source of energy. The men would eat several times more meat than women. The women wandered around in the woods picking and eating fruit and berries while out there and pull or dig up veggies to bring back to the cave. So women ate mostly veggies until the men came back from a successful hunt and would have a little meat then. The time when men at the most veggies is when there was no meat and they had to go out hunting again. They ate veggies and berries until they had successfully killed some prey. As far as I am concerned men evolved more to eat meat than women did. I eat meat, as much as I can afford and will continue to do so. Although I might try vegetarianism to lose some weight if it will do that, but will not as a lifestyle.

The main reason you see unhealthy meat eaters is because most meat eaters in western countries eat crap food included s~~~ty food that’s processed.

Japanese and Asian people for instance, eat a lot of meat and they’re just as healthy as vegans.

So I don’t buy into the “vegan diets are healthier.”

Healthy diets are healthy because they are healthy, not because they contain meat, or don’t contain meat, etc.
