It is being reported tonight that the Mexican government is threatening quit should President Trump crosses “red lines”. Such as building a wall on the U.S./Mexico border.

You can read the article here: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-01-24/mexico-warns-it-ready-quit-nafta-if-trump-crosses-red-lines

And yes. I am not sure the logic that the Mexican government is using. I mean, we U.S. citizens want the U.S. to leave NAFTA and we want a wall on the U.S./Mexican border. But, since NAFTA is mainly just the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. If Mexico wants to leave first. That is one third of the problem solved on its own.

A lot of good news happened today, and yesterday, due to the Trump Presidency. And I have to remind myself this is only the second day of the first work week of the Trump Administration.

It is only a Tuesday. We are not even to Thursday yet. At this rate, I wonder with glee what Friday will bring.

My one regret is that a year ago I should have gone long on popcorn stocks. But, that ship has sailed… Well, that is probably a navy of popcorn companies at this point.

Well didn’t President Trump want to renegotiate NAFTA first? If they quit now I supposed Trump would lose whatever the benefits that he would get out of NAFTA renegotiation.

Simplistic thought: coerce Mexico and Canada to shut down the drug traffic or face some more wrath. We have to quell the market here somehow. Incarceration doesn’t work out on users.
funny, sounds like War on Drugs all over again. How many drug offenders did NoBlama pardon? Wonder if they were dealers or just users.

um isn’t that what trump wants, and doesn’t mexico have more to lose since the US runs a trade deficit to mexico?

You mean disassemble CIA-run importing of the goods in the country? Why would he do that? Drugs are good for the economy – street money, detox centers, policing, enforcement, incarceration, etc. So many people would lose their jobs.

Well…they can get hired at Walmart.

What do they do for themselves or the world? P~~~ all.

Build up that wall high Prez. Trump.

Posturing and cash register rattling (its not sabre rattling).

Wait and see what happens, there is absolutely nothing morally, legally. or financially wrong with a sovereign nation protecting its own interests on its own soil.
    NAFTA sucks for Canada honestly.
Go ahead and renegotiate it and get the best possible deals for the participants.
If its a s~~~ty deal, the affected negotiator or everyone can back out of it .
If I want a product from another country I pay for it. If its not available due to legal restrictions then I just do without.

So Mexico is going to back out of a trade deal that has had far more benefit to them than us if we do the same thing every other country does and enforce our borders and immigration laws? LOL! You can’t make this s~~~ up…yet liberals are so stupid it seems wrong to them for some reason.

I have been practicing minimalism and tossing away what I don’t need and not buying s~~~ I don’t need. Now is a good time to have started.

Any of you guys know when/where the first US military mechanized attack took place?

Mexico, 1917, lead by Lt. George S. Patton. Maybe its time to celebrate the centennial!
