That is a lot… I mean a lot of meth.

I did not know that much meth existed in the world.

I have no clue to the value of that much meth. That is seizing the Fort Knox of meth.

The value of such an operation to produce such amounts and the amount of meth itself whoever owed this just had their wealth cut deeply and very suddenly.

When someone takes this amount of a hit to their wealth, such actions do not go unanswered. This is not the last we have heard of this story.

I always think to myself . The idiots that touch meth and all that s~~~ that they would of known the consequences before even touching it that one time .

What is weird for me in the story, looking at the pictures in linked article

1, So this amount of meth is worth really a lot of money, comparable to US GDP or Fort Knox (or whatever)
Yet, big part of meth is in a simple wooden hut in a forest, not much camouflage.
(only the underground storage seems to be hidden enough for such stuff, although, then, soil water can still break in)

Probably the ingredients already have cost a lot, but they don’t spend much money on not being caught with 50 tons of meth? Weird.

2, They used these dirty plastic bowls, in the mud, no hygiene at all, and probably no precision at all.
As far as I saw in I don’t know which action movies, while cooking meth a single little mistake is enough to blow up the whole place. So how did it not blow up already? And, what would a dealer say if he receives such a dirty imprecisely made unknown bad quality drug? I mean it is like selling rotten food, it would damage reputation of any dealer.

So, the story just does not fit together in my mind. Probably, the real meth is somewhere else, and the Mexican govt. just staged a situation with dirty plastic bowls in a wooden hut, and a few dirty cans of gasoline, and people in fancy chemical protection clothing. And then they can collect all the popularity gain for doing the war on drugs.

About 4 days ago on Montgomery and Clay street here in San Francisco I literally watched about 6 FAT Mexican cops roll down the street on Mexican police motorcycles followed by 1 SFPD cop on his motorcycle. The Mexican police bikes has writing in Spanish and Mexican license plates. The cops were all in uniform. I tried to take a picture but couldn’t. I have no idea why they were here. All I could think of was that movie with Michael Douglas in it called “Traffic.” As our economy collapse, the collusion between cartels, DHS, and police will become more obvious.
