Trump said Mexico would pay for the wall. Mexico hasn’t paid for the wall. Now Trump is saying he may shut the government down, unless he gets funding for the wall. Since Mexico hasn’t paid, and showed no signs of paying, we are looking at a situation where Mexico may be responsible for the shut down of the U.S government.

Mexico doesn’t care.

Anonymous42My government ended on July 18, 1997. Turns out you don’t need a government and you’re your own anyway!
Governments are over rated anyway, just like women, we don’t need them and we’re better off without them!
It is like a little kid saying, I am not going to eat because daddy didn’t bought me my favorite toy.
Mexico doesn’t care.
Neither do I.
To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.
The whole world knew.
Mexican government response:
President Trump is likely politically prepping for a NAFTA pull out.
I don’t really blame Mexico for telling Trump where he can shove his wall and not pay. It’s a US initiative , specifically it’s a Trump initiative so he should have funded it in the budget. It’s not another countries responsibility to pay for that and it’s stupid to think that it should be.
Please. Mexico isn’t doing anything. Let’s not twist facts around so they sound more interesting.
Mexico was never going to fund the wall directly. What Trump always meant was that Mexico is dependent on us, so he was going to leverage that relationship to fund the wall. I don’t think that’s really changed. However, it looks like we will need to get going on the wall before we can leverage trade and such to provide funding. Even then, who knows whether that will really fund the wall fully.
I don’t blame Trump for stating he’d shutdown the government. Congress passed a s~~~ty funding bill last time, and he can’t afford to let it slide again. It’s not just the wall, but his voter’s no longer want to pay for s~~~ty services.
As for Mexico, they are playing politics. They’ve been getting a great deal for decades now, and you can’t blame them for wanting to keep that deal. They will claim victim and liberals will fall for it. I don’t think it will work though.
As far as the caravan stuff goes, it’s utter nonsense. The disregard for rule of law, US, Mexican, and International is just laughable. The US is not required in any way to take these people in as refugees. Mexico is ultimately responsible, because that’s where they are now. They never should have let them in to their country to be honest, but they thought they could pan them off to the US. But there have been too much media coverage on this for Trump to let this happen. Sure, Trump will be branded as evil by the media, but there is no reason Mexico can’t handle this. If he does let him in, he will lose half his base.
Ok. Then do it.

The only facts here are this: Trump said that funds would come from Mexico to pay for the wall (whether or not upkeep would also come from them, is unknown). There are no funds coming from Mexico now to pay for the wall, so Trump needs to threaten a shutdown of the U.S government, to get funds. In short, due to no funds are coming from Mexico to pay for the wall, Trump is threatening a shutdown. Due to Trump’s promises, and intentions, Mexico is responsible for this. The only may here isn’t whether or not Mexico will do it, but whether or not Trump will.
That is the only facts here. Everything else is a bunch of puff in the mind. Do you know exactly how Trump is going to extract funds from Mexico to pay for the wall? I mean scenarios. There isn’t anything here. Name some, or it doesn’t exist. It isn’t facts. Go ahead and name them. Trump hasn’t.
In short, if there were actual funds coming from Mexico, then this threat wouldn’t need to be done. Well, unless you consider Mexico paying for the wall, just a negotiating ploy to trick America into paying for it, that won’t actually happen. All you have is this supposed negotiating genius by Trump, that hasn’t manifested itself. It didn’t repeal and replace Obamacare. It really hasn’t done anything, but you keep trusting in it.
The problem with this form of negotiating is that it isn’t the person who you are negotiating with that gets stuck with something, it is your side that does.
Play hardball with Mexico, and Mexico will ask the United States to ends its drug war. It will make deal with the drug lords there, and do whatever it can to survive.
Anyhow, tell me how America will extract cash for the wall. I mean, go on record now and state how it will be done. If you can’t, you are the one who possesses no facts here. And the only twisting is me trying to untangle a mess of vagueness meaning nothing. I have to, I am dealing with someone who tweets covfefe as a word in an incomplete sentence. Apparently language consistency isn’t a strength of the Donald.
