His story is pretty wild! You can find his book on Amazon it’s called Mig Pilot. It’s a good story about Soviet Russia.

    Hey, men
Have any of you heard the story of the the jet fighter mechanic in the Norwegian Air Force that stole a jet fighter and he had never flown a plane of any kind before in his life?
This was the father of a good friend of mine that I grew up with. This happened in I think 1957 and the mechanic’s name is Arne Storli. This crazy f~~~er was a crew chief and jet mechanic in the Norwegian Air Force. It was his 21st birthday and he decided he wanted to fly a T-33 trainer fighter jet. So he climbed in one and fired it up and hit the skies. They scrambled fighters to force him down and he made a couple of failed attempts to land and then he did it and only clipping a runway light and breaking off one of the landing gear wheels If you Google “45 minutes in a T-33” you can read the story and see the photo of the plane after he landed.

I remember when Belenko did this – there was all hell to pay in the Kremlin. The KGB was going ape-s~~~ over everyone and anyone.
