This is the best advice that I got from my Dad. My Dad who is 84, was an electronics technologist and he could fix anything. His advice to me was.

It is very important to slow down and think. Everyone is mindlessly running around nowdays. The pace of life has gone to a silly extreme with the cell phone and net. Everyone wants instant gratification. At work, some idiot sends me an email and calls at the same time demanding an instant answer. If he doesn’t get the answer he wants then he asks someone else.

When a smart guy like Bill Gates gets asked a question, he may take a week to give an answer, if he needs to. Smart guys slow down and think.
