Marvel once again seems to love catering to feminists and social justice warriors to try to be hip. First they let Kelly Thompson from Comic Book Resources co write Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps when her qualifications are she is a feminist writer who not only bitches about everything she finds offensive, but clearly has an agenda to promote female driven books as if they are all perfect. Then you have Joss Wheadon hanging out with Anita Sarkeesian and praising her even though there is countless evidence out there she is a fraud. Next Marvel announced when Kelly Sue leaves Captain Marvel this fall the 2 female producers from Agent Carter will be writing the book. 2 women who aren’t even comic book writers writing a major female characters book. Now today I saw Ant Man and at the end of the movie Anna Akana was in it. Her part was small granted and I looked her up on wikipedia and if her page is to be believed she really is more of an atress and film maker then feminist who just hasn’t really been in a lot of major productions. However this is a woman who defends Sarkeesian, made that terrible how not to get raped video, and the real kicker is she has said However, during an interview in July 2015, when asked what she would do if she were permitted to commit crimes for a full 12 hours, she responded that she would rape a man, and that she’d “always thought it’d be fun.” This caused outrage amongst not only feminists, but also Men’s Rights Activists as she stated that men could not receive erections unless the sex was consensual, something which is obviously false If a man had said that he wouldn’t have been allowed to be in the movie. Funny how these same feminists who wanted to kill Joss for Black Widow calling herself a monster seem to have no problem when a woman says she wants to rape a man. At least Ant-Man was a good movie though.
Comic books. Video games. Sports. No male space is safe. Except MGTOW.
I have discovered a truly remarkable list of reasons why women are not necessary for a happy life, but alas this margin is too small to contain it.
Nope. Women won’t stop until we have nothing left.
That is disappointing. I have certainly noticed Marvel pandering to the feminists/SJW crowd. It’s pathetic but as a big company I guess Marvel is going with the flow of the times. I will be interested to see how it goes in the long term. All this push to introduce more female characters and female characters. I’m curious if the books will actually sell. I mean really the market for comics has always been men and I’d be willing to bet even now despite all the bulls~~~ ‘geek girls are cool’ stuff, the primary market is still men. I don’t think the books will sell in the long term. Can’t sustain.
Someone really needs to explain to Marvel that feminists don’t buy comic books. I don’t think they realize that.
Interesting enough their female books seem to be selling well or at least enough to where Marvel is keeping the book. The female Thor book does sell pretty well still and Spider-Gwen exploded in popularity but to be fair Spider-Gwen is pretty awesome.
Looking at the June 2015 comic sales the top female lead book was Princess Leia at number 11. In terms of traditional Marvel/DC characters the top selling female book was Harley Quinn at number 17 and not counting Princess Leia the top Marvel universe female book was Spider-Gwen at number 20.
Although right now a lot of Marvel books are on hiatus with Secret Wars going on and April and June DC books were on hiatus for Convergence so lets go back to March, the most recent month all the standard books were being published. The top female book was Princess Leia at number 1 which is interesting because it is a reprint of issue 1. Issue 1’s always sell high, but for a reprint that is good. The top normal Marvel female hero book was Spider-Gwen at number 4 while DC’s top was Harley Quinn at number 14. Although looking at the whole list most of the rest of the books in the top spot are all male driven books. Thor was number 11 because it was the last issue until the renumbering until October plus it was the issue where you found out who she was, but for “female friendly” book like Batgirl and Ms.Marvel, you know the books that are said to be perfect for girls and the kind of comics women want, know what their rank is? Batgirl was 38 and Ms. Marvel was 59.
So yeah female books sale but I think Marvel is giving too much credit to feminists. A book like Princess Leia is probably selling well because Star Wars fans, men, are buying it and as for Spider-Gwen she took off and while women seem to like her I think the fact she is a Spider-Man related characters help her sell so well too.
I do not think Marvel is catering to its core audience these days. They may well lose money over it, and, if so, they just might wise up. It could happen if their corporate treasury deflates enough.
I decide for myself where my entertainment dollars go, and it is not to SJW-friendly products.
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
I think I also read that Tilda Swinton (the White Queen from the Narnia films) was to be cast as The Ancient One in the upcoming Doctor Strange film. Why? Good question.

When I witness their intellectual capabilities, it honestly seems like feminists never read anything besides their propaganda, lmao.
Too stupid to read some Zola I guess /kekIt is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.
As always: Follow the Money.
Marvel and DC are tapping the heck out of their lineup, because if they put it into movie form – it is a license to print money. Once again we have to remember that everything is geared toward consumerism, and women do most of the spending.
I haven’t set foot into a movie theater in nearly 15 years, with the exception of SW: I, II, III, because I started assembling my Home Theater nearly two decades ago. Most of my male peers rarely go to movies, they all have at least a Flatscreen and a basic DD5.1 speaker system. When my teen kids are concerned, it seems to be mostly only females going to the movie because it is a social event. When boys go to the movies, it is almost always to impress a girl.
It’s all about the Benjamins yo! Women are the ones: buying tickets, buying clothing and toy merchandise for themselves/husband/kids. They also love going to the movies, so superhero movies are a great way to get a guy to spend $50 on tickets and snacks. The best way to make all this money, is to catch female attention by going gynocentric crazytown, and turning everything into “You go gurrrl!!!”.
Always follow the money…
Sovereignty above all else.
When boys go to the movies, it is almost always to impress a girl.
I go on occasion if I’ve been looking forward to a particular movie for a long time. I DO notice most guys go to impress chicks, though. I literally feel like the only one in a theater or restaurant that goes by myself. Kind of a freeing feeling, though.

Oh yea…the gold digger who dated and slept with Ray William Johnson for the money and fame. I was actually enjoying Ant-Man until I saw her at the end, and I was sad for the rest of that day.
I also found it ridiculous that in one cover that I was reading, they made Spider-Woman pregnant.
I still like the MCU though, and I’m hoping that DC has the same caliber.

Do you mind if you provide a link? I’m quite interested in seeing this, actually. Just perpetuates Anita’s bulls~~~ and sexism.

Funny her wikipedia article doesn’t mention that, go figure lol. Seeing her depressed me too and nothing like having a good movie ruined at the end lol. It shall be interesting to see what happens with Spider-Woman being pregnant. I am surprised the feminists haven’t cried misogyny for whatever reason. I only take this as a small blow to the MCU and with Joss Wheason gone that is only a plus. The Captain Marvel movie will show us if Marvel is going to go full gyocentric or what. I can’t wait for the DCCU as I like DC comics more and DC does not cater to feminist’s with the exception being Batgirls current direction. So lets just hope no feminists get cast in the DCCU and things shall be good lol.

These women are so pathetic that they can’t even create their own superheroes. Practically every female superhero is a Miss/Mrs. version of a guy.

I’m vomiting. Also, please don’t drag DC into it, they have some integrity. This s~~~ is totally Marvel.
WHAT THE F~~~? I take my words back. Even DC is in on it. WE ARE DOOMED!

Also, the Amber Heard Thor looks somewhat hot, but here’s a female Thor that will make you vomit!

Marvel did it again with Jeryn in Jessica Jones on Netflix. Let’s not forget that.

I don’t believe those pictures are officially done by Marvel and DC, but rather made by fans. DC has a new female character. There are very few female characters that aren’t a Ms version. Wonder Woman, Blue Bird, Black Canary, and Vixen I can think of off the top of my head. I don’t have a problem with female versions being based of a guy version as there are only so many types of hero abilities out there, but Marvel seems to really want to get these female versions pushed straight out there with the same respect these male heroes has to take years to earn. Yes sometimes I character just takes off like Spider-Gwen, but her book takes place on another Earth yet Marvel thinks they can just bring in female Thor and have her be THE Thor so quickly.
Jeryn

I have never read Heroes for Hire so I had to look the character up real quick plus I still need to finish Dare Devil season 1 lol. Is the female version at least good? If she is at least that would be better then Jimmy Olsen on Supergirl. I have no problem with a black guy playing Jimmy Olsen, but is that alpha male version: deep voice, tall, and buff chest he has are are the problem lol. Can’t say I am surprised Marvel did that, after all once Iron Man came out in the human Alfred was pushed out of the Iron Man comics for the computer one like in the movie..

Catwoman. Raven. Starfire. Black Orchid. Saturn Girl, Terra, Bumblebee.
Those are the DC ones I can think of off the top of my head that are unique in their own right as superheroines / villains. Maybe Zatanna counts as well. I know there have to be more, and Marvel is loaded with unique superheroines. A hell of a lot could be done with any of these characters on her own. There are probably enough Squirrel Girls fanboys out there, ironc or non-ironic, to even make her a movie. So the current trend in genderswapping male characters only proves one thing:
Feminism is not about advancing females (including fictional females). It’s about taking things away from men.
When Thor became a chick, I made a vow to never buy another comic.
Love is just alimony waiting to happen. Visit mgtow.com.
When Thor became a chick, I made a vow to never buy another comic.
So did every female comic reader I know.
They weren’t spending money on Thor comics to look at some blond bimbo. They wanted broad shoulders, a chiseled jaw, and a big hammer.
Just goes to show how completely and comprehensively Marvel f~~~ed up when it listened to feminists and made that idiotic decision.
