Marvel Comics has canceled its Black Lives Matter-inspired comic book Black Panther & The Crew due to poor sales, according to reports.
The comic book — written by activist author Ta-Nehisi Coates — was canceled after only two issues but is expected to finish out the remainder of its six-issue run, The Verge reported. The comic features a group of majority-black superheroes including Black Panther, Misty Knight, Luke Cage and Storm — the only white person in the “crew” is Kung Fu hero Iron Fist — and their investigation into the case of a black civil rights activist who died in police custody in New York City’s famed Harlem neighborhood.
The story is set in a New York City patrolled by robot police officers instead of human officials, but much of the plot appears to derive thematically from the Black Lives Matter playbook, with cops beating up minorities for little to no reason and groups of local citizens on the verge of riots over it all.
Coates assured fans that with its last few issues, the comic’s storyline would be wrapped up and the mystery of who killed the civil rights activist would be solved.
Naturally, the liberal comics community is upset that Marvel has canceled the Black Lives Matter-centric title. Gawker site Gizmodo complained that Marvel spent no resources advertising or pushing the comic on fans. The site also proclaimed the cancellation “keenly disappointing.”
The cancellation of Black Panther & The Crew comes shortly after a Marvel executive noted during an industry event that comics focused specifically on featuring diverse characters are not selling well.
See, it’s s~~~ like this that makes me not want to see Black Panther next year. BET is even propping up this movie. If I was Marvel, just to p~~~ of the SJW’s, I’d give Black Panther a white wife.
What are your thoughts?? Are you overjoyed that this comic idea has failed.
People are fed up with PC. It’s getting to the point where it’s shoved so far down our throats that we have to pull it out our asses!
JUST because a certain super hero is white doesn’t mean the artist or writer are racists, but in this day and age that’s what they want people to think and people do NOT want to think that because they KNOW better.
This, and other forms of Thought Control, fail because people want to be free to do and think what they will without being taken by the hand into every warped concept invented by f~~~ing deluded Bluepillers.Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!
Give 'em NOTHING, not even an answer!

Anonymous3My kid was looking at a videogame storyline where batman teams up with supergirl to beat superman, that had turned evil.
I had to point out that they where replacing the male superhero by a female. He was mind-blown.I simply do not care for comics because they smell to much like soap-operas with capes. It is easy for women and manginas to push their agendas because its halfway there.
What we need is some unapologetic toxic masculinity.
Oh that comic was canceled for more reasons than poor sales. The production crew of the comic used the comic as a soapbox to promote black supremacy and racism against white people:

I dont see anything wrong with that.

As long as it is NOT Black Widow, I respect that character to much to do that to her. Look at how damaged as a character Storm became after marrying Black Panther in the comics.

True. You cannot prevent people from being assholes. But stupidity is another matter.
The only thing more disgusting than the bigotry in that comic was the hamfisted way they showed the bigotry in that comic. There was no creativity, no plot to show the reasons for the characters statements and actions. There was one insult after another insult.
Superhero comic books have ALWAYS been about promoting a certain set of socio-economic values. Superheroes embody those values to impressionable youth as a method of inculcating said youth through appealing to their own desire to be something bigger and better than what they are (and to look at t~~~ and ass).
Propaganda is propaganda. The only difference is that now the comics and their heroes are in the hands of a different set of people with a different set of values.
As for me, I believe in values but not in heroes and I couldn’t care less who does what with some primary color costumed sock puppet.

I believe in a good story. One that does not insult the reader and entertains the reader.
Even propaganda can be respected if it is done in an entertaining way.
For example, several classic Batman stories, Year One, Long Halloween, Dark Knight Returns. Even some more recent Batman comics have tried to be respectful towards the readers intelligence.
And from various video reviews, it is reported that the Batman/Fudd (Looney Tunes) crossover was done well and played straight.

Anonymous6So wait, they failed at pushing a divisive and baseless Marxist/ feminist/ race bating message to children via a covert and propagandistic methodology? I don’t find that surprising. The offensive part is that they’ve been reduced to trying to indoctrinate the youth.

Anonymous6Please don’t let Marvel or Sony mess up this Venom movie. Even though it is kind of difficult to mess up a Rated R movie

True Doc but back in the day it was a simple moral message – like the old Star Trek – now it’s just become a political soap box for leftist loonies to push their agenda on impressionable minds.
Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!

Venom could not be any more messed up than in the Spider-man 3 movie.
Capitalism works. The marketplace picks the winners. In most of the world it is the government that will say what movie goes out or does not.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.

Anonymous11You took the words before I could write them, HRP.
It’s good to see the marketplace reject stuff like this. I think they could easily have developed a new black superhero w/o the PC hatred angle. They were schooled but won’t learn the lesson. Marvel Comics seem bent on self-destruction.
The likely reason this racist PC concept didn’t sell, is that you first must posses a 2nd grade level of reading comprehension, in order to grasp the story line arc of a comic book.
I think they should have made Black Panther white. Like in the new Fantastic Four movie they made Johnny Storm and his dad black and Sue Storm his adopted sister. Make the King of Wakanda adopt a nice blonde hair blue eyed boy who becomes the new Black Panther. What’s good enough for the goose is good enough for the gander. I’d love to watch the SJW heads explode as they tried to process that.
But I’ll say this. If they try to push an agenda with the Captain Marvel and Black Panther movies; I won’t be paying to see them. I’m sick of this s~~~.
BLM and Antifa are terrorists as far as I’m concerned and should be treated accordingly. And I’d bet big money the NSA already knows who those f~~~ers are.

From what I’ve read it’s all Sony’s baby, Marvel has nothing to do with it. It’s not set in the MCU. I expect it to be craptacular.
Nobody worth their salt wants to read that black lesbo sewage!

I’m still holding out hope! It’s got Carnage in it, that has to count for something.
Products need to sell, so marketers need to produce content that pleases their target consumers. The SJW minority is so unbelievably loud that marketing experts were fooled into thinking they represented the majority of their consumers. This and other attempts to produce SJW content (e.g., M.E. Andromeda) have completely failed because most of us are just normal people that want a good story and a fun game, not endless spewing of socialist sewage.
The smart marketers will figure it out and produce good content. The idiots will be selected for economic extinction.
