“Do every act of your life as though it were the very last act of your life.”

I find this quote gives me tremendous courage to live fully, in the moment. Not in some childish hedonistic manner but taking all opportunities, having the b~~~~ to show your strength and love, being real.

Kind of summed up by this one:

“Perfection of character is this: to live each day as if it were your last, without frenzy, without apathy, without pretence.”

All in all an amazing book for MGTOW.

I keep it to hand to flick through, and I’ve marked in the margins my favourite passages.

The second quote you used is almost exactly what the buddhists teach. That each day you must ask if you are happy with your actions should you die today. Every day is a gift. Start using those gifts. (really, reallly paraphrasing buddha there but you get my point)

Schopenhauer was fond of Eastern philosophy and you can see it in this quote of his:

“Each day is a little life: every waking and rising a little birth, every fresh morning a little youth, every going to rest and sleep a little death.”

I have definitely spent too much of my life mired in the past and future, and have finally realised this is not really living, at least for me – I do not mean to preach.

I may be young but my childhood was real real bad. I would never change it because of who I am today. Because I am so happy now, I an thankful for the path that led me here. When I am not happy I find stuff to be thankful for. Thats the easiest way to be happy. Im just be thankful for waking up with all my limbs, lungs, and eyes. Waking up at all is a privilige. Hope this helps next time youre feelin down.

    Pagan wisdom never gets old.
