I went on a “get to know you ” meeting with a woman from on-line.
Was a simple Lunch at a popular local diner near a mall. I was going Christmas shopping afterwards.
We met… realized in 10 minutes we weren’t a good pair and parted ways.
When the bill came I thought we pay dutch as we BOTH agreed it was just a meeting and nothing else would come of it. She still insisted that I PAY for the lunch citing….. “All men pay for a Lunch DATE!” I thought heck, there was nothing romantic about it to be a “Date.” It was just a hi how are you thing.

Being a Gentleman I paid anyway never to see her again. She was a total entitlement kind of B**** and showed that 30 seconds after I met her….. NOT FOR ME !

Always pull the waitress aside and insist on separate checks. That way if it goes south, she’s on her own. If YOU DECIDE you want to pick up the check, it’s nothing for you to hand the waitress both checks and your card/cash.

Be aware of a similar tactic/scenario that I have seen many times:

2 or 3 women will approach a table of all, or mostly, men.
They will flirt/chat/visit, waiting for the waitress/barmaid to bring another round of drinks to the table, which will now include drinks for them.
These women will then move on to the next table of men, leaving the current table of men to pay for their drinks.
The waitress/barmaid will play right along, because they know men’s egos won’t let them look “cheap” in front of others by not paying for “a round of drinks”.

Don’t fall for it, tell the waitress “They never asked for a drink, I never offered them a drink, and I’m not paying for their drink.”

If she gives you any s~~~/shame/grief, say “Ok then, get the manager.”

I’ve seen women in larger bars/clubs move between 8 or 9 tables, never paying for a single drink…
