I do not see the problem. Ivanka and her children are not politicians. She is not the first lady. They cannot be subjected to any abuse, expecially for what her husband did or not. sounds like the right thing was done for all. The fellow did not end up on the no fly list, everyone got home safe. The thing about kids is they have to learn how to deal in the real world and how to fight if needed. Even if it gets them into trouble they still must learn it because they will need it in life.

They do understand. What part did you miss about she has secret service protection, and why do you think she didn’t ghetto out on them and get all fired up over it? I think you need to take your own advice. Sometimes you need to remember to look at the source, as throughout life you will have plenty of irrelevant people flinging s~~~ your way. Exactly. She played this the best way possible. The guy wanted to make a scene, and he wanted her to engage. The best way to handle a troll is to not be trolled, and in the end she beat him without saying a word.

There isn’t a doubt in my mind if she got worked up at all during this encounter the headlines would have very much been skewed to put the blame on her and make this guy look like a victim…instead she sat calmly in her seat, there was no way the very biased media could put blame on her, and this guy looked like a complete jerk.

And realistically this guy wasn’t even worth it. If I was walking down the road and some random gay guy starting yelling “You filthy breeder” or something at me, I’d just look at him and smile and continue along with my day. I’d honestly doubt I’d even bother to call the cops, I wouldn’t want to wait around and have to give a statement or potentially waste time in the future going to court. In the end I’m going back to my happy life and this guy obviously was the one with issues. If you show you are not afraid of something but won’t do something in the future to state something people will know that if you f~~~ with them you will f~~~ with them back and the way to prevent this is by people not starting s~~~ in the first place.

I’d agree with you if it was as situation where maybe you are a kid in school, and someone is bullying you every day, and short of dropping out of school there is no way to avoid it. Look man, I’m not suggesting by any means that being a spineless coward is the way to progress through life, there are times when you need to stand up for yourself, but you need to know your audience and you need to choose your battles wisely. In this case, Trump most certainly knows her audience, and had she chose to engage this guy by yelling back at him, there really was nothing to gain for her and a lot to lose.

I understand that it’s important to know how to defend yourself, especially in a dangerous country, like the USA. But verbal attacks are different. I would also ignore them, for the most part. Or quickly walk away from the situation. On a plane, all you need to do is calmly tell the flight attendants about what happened.
