You won’t be p~~~ed off, becouse you will be dead.

Sure, but it p~~~es me off now.
And how do you know it’s ‘poof’ after we kick the bucket? You got inside info I don’t know about?

You should take into account reincarnation and karma. Those are the interesting parts.

Just considering that each atom vibrates so fast that they fluctuate between two dimensions is enough to tell me that there is more out there than we know.

No. Like everything else it matters who programs and trains them.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

I for one don’t want that technology anywhere near Carnage.

Being p~~~ed off now is understandable, can’t argue that.

Reincarnation? Wold you reincarnate? Maybe with my MGTOW brain yes… but that’s not how it works.

Well I have a lot of death around me. I might not now much about life at 33, but death, seen a lot of that one.

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

I don’t know but I know it’s gonna be a trip from what I’ve seen so far.

Look up the research by Ian Stevenson and Jim Tucker on reincarnation. Very interesting in the field research on reincarnation. Decades of research with interesting findings.

About singularity: We are already at the singularity. Most stuff in our world is too complicated to be understood by one human. Do you know all the source code and circuitry in your computer? Probably not and a life time won’t be enough to learn it, not to mention new stuff is created every month. Computers are designed by millions of engineers, and even more programmers write stuff on it. Do you know all the laws of your country? probably not, and politicians change it every year. Lawyers can only keep up with one area of it. Do you know about your own body what medical doctors know? No, each medical doctor knows only a part of the whole knowledge. And there can be made many more examples. All the knowledge is scaled so, that huge companies and lots of humans with knowledge of different areas are needed to handle them at useful level.

So, if an AI with an intelligence of a single human or two happens to be created, it does not change anything, there are already more intelligent many-human-companies than that. An AI with intelligence of 1000 people? Maybe comparable to companies in existence. Still won’t f~~~ things up and not invincible.

And not to mention, neural network technology is still at the level of mice and cats at best, many decades are needed to reach single-human level.

Yes, I have been thinking along these lines. We are living in a world with technological devices that are more complex than any one person can understand. If we do not understand how it works then it becomes Magical. Magic is only technology that is not understood. We are living in an age of Magic. The old stories about the Alchemists come true. Francis Bacon’s “New Atlantis” is here.

If robots become supreme than life is defeated. What is a robot, but inanimate matter. Lifeless, dead matter brought into motion through Magic. In other words a Golem. Can you imagine a world where Dead Matter would be worshipped as a supreme deity? The Antithesis of Life and growth. There is a religion of Materialism at work here, a total rejection of spirit. Truly, this is SATANIC.

What is a Necromancer, but one who commands the dead? The robots are not alive, they are dead. Brought up under the spell of the technological wizard. They are slaves to his will. EVIL is LIVE spelled backwards. The inversion of life, a race of lifeless golems are EVIL in the truest sense!

The robots are not alive, they are dead.

I won’t distinguish like that. There is not much difference between humans and robots. We and all the things (living or not) consist of the same “dead matter”. Our blood contains iron, we take magnesium ions against stress, and we contain at least half of the periodic table of elements. Our nervous system is a kind of electronics, that’s why electricity can zap people. We are just more sophisticated than machines. Known life forms have had millions of years to evolve, while idea of the simplest AI is a few decades old.

I’m not afraid of an ‘AI god’ being created, more afraid of the stupid humans integrating some low-level AI into guns and tanks. Recognizing something and shooting it is not a complicated task, realizing that the ‘target’ is another intelligent being an it would be better to cooperate or not kill it, now that idea would take a better AI. Stupid humans, especially psychopath power-monger politicians are the problem, not the AI.

I will have to disagree with you on that. I do not believe that the Human Brain is just a sophisticated computer. We are more than just “Meat Machines.”

There’s a popular theory that artificial superintelligence will trigger a huge surge in technological growth, surpassing our own species and resulting in massive changes to our civilisation.

I see the skynet reference has already been made. But yeah, extinction at the hands of our A.I. terminator overlords would be a massive change to our civilization.

But seriously, “the singularity” is just another flavor of pie in the sky millenarianism. Whether it’s the messiah, the A.I. singularity, or the Xists from Planet X, such prophecies never, ever pan out.
