Does anyone have any experience with the M1 carbine?

Any thoughts or suggestions? I held one and kinda want one.

A friend and I welded some of them back together after Clinton had them destroyed, they were purchased as scrap.

The gas blocks were cut in the center of the clip, making the repair relatively easy.

Get a 30.06, something tells me you may need it!

I’ve had the pleasure of holding my uncle’s. Felt amazing. Light, short, compact.

Brother, we need to stick together.

Any of you guys have the pleasure of firing an Eastwood Special? It’s got the recoil of a jack hammer! Two hands and dig in on your heel!

Gun opinions are like ass-holes, everyone’s got one and nobody wants to hear it… that being said-

I really wanted one of those too until I held/fired/researched an FN SCAR 17… its the 7.62X51 (.308) offspring of an M1A that f~~~ed a Ferrari. It is the 99% solution to ANY rifle problem and I would trust my life to it.

M1 Carbine is a proven gun. It’s hard to go wrong in today’s market though.

I keep larger and smaller than that around for various reasons, but for one SHTF gun it serves most purposes.

Remember Jan, the best tool for the job is the one that you’ve trained with enough to meet your needs not the fanciest most costly thing that some online forum says you just have to have.

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.

Then there’s this guy who built an AK out of a shovel.

OK, now I WANT to see what he can do with a wheelbarrow.

But seriously, I know people knock the AKs, and compared to just about anything Made in the USA it’s pretty junky, but it wasn’t designed to be good. It was designed to be manufacturable by ignorant peasants with minimal tools and skills, and it does a pretty damn good job at that.
