I am up for men having relationships, not based on bargaining, but out of mutual respect for people, who aren’t toxic and who you have a rooting interest make it in life.  With these individuals, you aren’t keeping score with them, and do things out of what you get from them.  Well, it appears these relationships are rare, so you get reduced to bargaining positions, and give and take, and doing with expectations of getting back (I would expect parents to be like this with their children, for example, and a NAWALT would be part of this to).  And in life, you will see the person who doesn’t need help, getting a flood of offers.  Banks go to businesses that don’t need money, and so on.  It is out of being approach to see what someone can get from you.

I mention lust here.  One can take it as sexual, or more in general, a very strong desire for things that has to be met, and compels someone to want or do things.  While it is said that the one who wants it more gets it, I would say, in a bargaining relationship, having a stronger lust for something will result in the person who can walk away being able to negotiate a better deal.  So, I would argue here, a man who is given into lust, will end up getting the short end of the stick.  And I believe this is why men are getting the short end of the stick a lot in life, particularly with women.  The guy who can’t walk away will get played, and drop all respect and compromise.  After doing all this, get will develop resentment, and get even weaker.  And none of this I believe is in keeping with being a MGTOW.

I would agree except I would replace the word lust with the word attachment. It’s not the desire for a thing that weakens us, it’s the need to possess that thing. Once we become attached to an object, an achievement, a title, a female, then we give power to the fear of failure and loss. Getting what you want while being prepared to go on without it is an art. If you go to a job interview with no job, overly keen, want it the most and desperate then you’ll mostly not get it or if you do the salary offered will be low and your boss will ride you/have little respect for you.

If you go to the same interview already with a job, interested but not overly keen, with the attitude what am I going to gain from this then most likely you’ll be offered the job and a good salary. Of course you don’t accept the first salary offer either and take your sweet time thinking it over.

The same principle works with women. Why on earth you would want any modern woman is another question however.

Self preservation is more important than firing off knuckle children.

Fortunately, lust is a young man’s folly. As we get older it diminishes and its easier to control.

We now understand what lust causes, Oops pregnancies, stds, crazy bitches, etc.

Now, mgtow gives you the option to walk away.
