There is one where i reckon if they didn’t duck the harrier would of hit them .

Anonymous42I’ve done this with 800cc 2stroke snowmobile but this is f~~~ing nerve! Tail draggers are much more dangerous to land than tricycles. I don’t think this can be achieved with a tricycle gear being the wheels are set too far back from CG. (center of gravity) these guys are only inches from nosing over and getting killed in a crash, slightest tail wind gust and they’re drinking a lifetime supply of water in an instant! Or if one wing is lifted first in an angular gust they’re cartwheeling or frisbeeing to fragmented pieces! Pilots die in the blink of an eye! I have allot more respect for the dangers of flying than anything else!

Here is another possibly quite interesting aspect of low flying planes. In case you might have heard of it: I am talking about wingtip vortices. Now they don’t only look cool as in this following video:
but they can also sound like from “out of this world”; check these few ones out (listen to the “after-sounds” once the plane has already touched down…):
So yeah, these are referred to as wingtip vortices sounds. Unfortunately with more and more modern planes’ wingtips are equipped with more or less bigish so-called “winglets” (to actually counteract the development of such wingtip vortices by planes) these incredible sound bits over time might eventually get extinct altogether. But at one point I actually managed to record such an audible wingtip vortex close to an airstrip myself and one day might provide the amazing audio sample in here (as in once I will upgrade to Galt status)…
Anyway, as I was told the general prerequisites of the degree of how well audible such wingtip vortices might be include like I mentioned above the size or existence or rather non-existence of winglets (best to be non-existent as with older planes and/or especially military aircraft and the smaller the existing winglet the better for the audibility), also the weather conditions such as the strength of the wind (the less wind the better for audibility, simply because stronger wind blows this audible phenomenon away quicker) the general drag of the air plane (the more the better for audibility) and the speed of the flying-over airplane (the higher the speed the better for audibility).
One day I might hopefully (for instance at some air show or close to a military airstrip) be able to record the best possible audio of a low flying older military jet aircraft (ideally without winglets) in terms of such a wingtip vortex in high quality or better yet maybe even so in stereo…
I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. Back to the plantation..? Me..? Hey, literally: I won't ever fucking kid myself...YZERLMNTSIC
Fun to watch, but remember guys you can only tie the low altitude flying record…..you can never beat it. Stay safe out there!!!
If conditions are right you can actually hear wing tip vortices snap like a bull whip cracking. I know a spot off the end of a runway near the Woodrum Field at Roanoke Virginia where you can stand and hear this with some regularity. For some reason the Bombardier/Canad-air Regional Jets (CJRs) make the best sound. I suspect it is because they are not equipped with leading edge slats and have to land a few knots faster.

Yes, like in the case of the third plane (which happens to have no winglets at all) of the second video I posted above, there is at least a slightly audible bull whip crack…

I disagree, it goes from AGL (above ground level) to BGL (below ground level).
You want to aim for sod when trying to set a new BGL world record.
The first few attempts were done on granite and were not successful…
