Love is grand. Divorce is 20 grand.

There’s an old saying, ‘Love is grand. Divorce is twenty grand’,”

According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s statistics in 2006, the average American family is married, has two children, makes between $50,000 to $74,999 a year and owns a home worth about $185,000.

Using those statistics, divorce360.com estimates it could cost anywhere from a low-end of $53,000 to a high-end of $188,00 to divorce.

I would like to modify the old saying to reflect modern reality:
“Love is grand. Bitch is 100 grand.”

Let see, nowadays the boyfriend/husbands are expected to pay for everything, while women are just handed everything. $100,000 in debts for the college degree, $100,000 for the wedding and honeymoon (I have personally known weddings that are more expensive), $200,000 for the home mortgage, $300,000 a kid (not including living expenses, taxes, and later child support), and $100,000 for the divorce (plus alimony and child support).

And this is in job market designed to deny you a job.

If there are two kids, that is $1.1 million dollars.

And in the end the man gets to have none of that, but is force to pay for it, plus child support and alimony.

It is really sad to realize it was over before it even began. Everyone else gets a leg up, while we are thrown into the gutter.

Screw this. I want out, and I don’t want to come back.

I cannot imagine any circumstances in which I would marry again, ever.

I have been sick as a dog this weekend. Very, very ill with the flu. There’s a good current xkcd cartoon that describes how I felt.

Totally frustrated with my current faith, Christianity, I have been musing about returning to the faith of my childhood, Judaism. Both religions work well when one simply ignores all other members of one’s faith and the actual behavior of one’s temple or church. Then it’s fine. I have heard Scientology functions much the same way, however. I could probably also make up a religion and have it work equally well, assuming there is no G-d or that he doesn’t care what I think. I have considered going back and simply ignorning the behavior of everyone around me. Mask on, filter on. I’m not sure why I feel that wouldn’t work in Christianity. It probably would.

    I digress.

One fever-soaked image that kept popping into my head was the idea of marrying a nice Hasidic girl who had never left the reservation and popping out seven or eight kids. Living a lovely 1930s lifestyle in the warm and caring heart of an internally-focussed community.

Of course, one acquaintance who is a Hasid has an ex-wife and five kids. She’s claimed bulls~~~ assault charges on him previously, and he’s constantly threatened by her with jail for child support, which he cannot pay. She’s from a rich family.

I cannot, under any circumstances whatever, imagine marrying in this period of history. I wish I could, truly, but I’d have to go back in time to do it. I have zero interest in dating or even porn. This is the first time in thirty+ years I can say that.

My current financial awfulness is due to a divorce and a series of monogamous relationships (mini-divorces!) which led me to financially subsidize others and hold their advantage above my own. I repeatedly assumed that sacrifices made by me for others’ education and lifestyle would eventually be repaid (hahahahahahahahahahaha). This never proved to be the case. Worst of all, I think, were opportunities I turned down to be with others. Error, error, error.

I’ve been MGTOW for a little over a month. I think it’s going to be a good year.

    Ahh Marriage.

Where a man gets 100% of the responsibility, and the woman gets 100% of the authority.

Not my property... Not my problem

Yes, it cost me 300,000.00 for a divorce and custody fight. Overall, with two ex-wives I spent 6 years constantly preparing for court. I fought for my son because I was the only one that cared about his school, and he was a little lazy, and he said he wanted to be with me.

After I won every one of 6 court cases, a year later my son decides to move to my ex’s because she bought a house in Hawaii. Go figure.

So he moved and went from A’s with me to barely graduating a local public school (with a drop out rate of 50%) and barely graduated high school.

I call him every week, he returns the call every month. Last I hears he was selling christmas trees.

So, yeah, get married, the waters not cold, it’s fine.

If you believe that I have a bridge I’m selling in Arizona.

Translation: Marriages have ruined my life and I will never go near a female, except for sex, again.

Thanks, happy to share my story with others so they don’t make the same mistake.

I lost my house, my savings and my credit in all this. I had to go into debt.

Yes, but after almost 30 years…regaining freedom will be worth it to me.

    Peace and quiet.

    No more bs.

Go f~~~ a hooker half my age…pay for her to go away too. Ha

S~~~…..I will just make more money.
    That is easy.

You sir are an inspiration, much easier and by far cheaper to pay them to go away.

Cost me more than 150k to dissolve the agreement, incalculable if you factor in the wasted years.

About a year since the divorce and I’m coming back with a vengeance!

Jesus. This is insane. $300K is A LOT OF MONEY. How is this fair?!

It’s not fair, none of it’s fair, that’s what gives us all our strength! The measures a man’s mind will take to restore personal balance and direction is staggering! These selfish f~~~tards that wonder “where are all the good men”, have no f~~~ing idea just how repulsive they really are! If feminism was a swamp, we’d all be looking out our windows at frogs and lily pads.
The tally is in, modern females aren’t worth a f~~~! Billions of tons of makeup and perfume are wasted trying to cover up the truth…..
