Lost @ Sea: A Poem about Freedom

So I saw another MGTOW @akanbi post a poem that really resonated with me. We as men should seek freedom above all other pursuits in life. If anything restrains your freedom you need to excise it from your life! Freedom is worth dying for, and with freedom comes true happiness.

This is a poem I wrote a couple of weeks ago. I find that when I am depressed I can use this and music as creative outlet to vent my frustrations. This is cathartic for me.

Lost at Sea

I’m just a drifter lost at Sea
Much like Captain Hook with his Peg Knee
I’m Joyous for leaving this world of banality
“This is true harmony”, I said with glee
I’m just a carefree (man)atee
That can finally be free!

While I set out to explore,
There ushered in an unforeseen storm; I lost both my oars
Since then, I haven’t seen signs of the shore
If only I was a seagull, then I could soar,
I would leave the past transgressions that I abhor
If only this life could receive just one more, encore

So they say, not all who wander have gone astray
I willingly left society, anchors aweigh!
Things seemed perfect, until the sky turned grey
The boat is now at the mercy of the waves, its’ rocks and sways
I’ve grown dehydrated from the unforgiving sun rays
Drinking the sea water will only propagate my decay

It’s been two weeks on the Atlantic Ocean
And I’ve grown seasick from the wave’s motion
Incessantly, they smash the boat with such devotion
I have been given time to reach a powerful notion
The sea can be a source of tranquility and commotion
Right now, unsettling annoyance seems to be its’ only emotion

Behold! What is this I see?!
It’s the perfect paradise, set aside just for me!
I can now lay my uncertainties beneath a palm tree
Finally, I’m no longer just a drifter lost at Sea!

That resonates with me too.

I have grown to admire and understand poetry like yours but unfortunately I must have graduated in cynical poetry.

Too many c~~~s, too long.

I am far out on the ocean on a ship that is my own.

By my own making and I control my fate.

Lost without guidance,

I have grown to be my own captain, navigator and mechanic.

Yeah that is why I wrote this poem. Because I’ve learned that life is indeed a boat drifting in the ocean.

As men, we try too hard to dictate where our path will take us, and there are things outside of our control that can destroy us (divorce rape, alimony, child support). Many men find themselves strewn way of course of what they initially intended.

However, if we MGTOW just seek our way, and our own happiness, then life is made not only much simpler, but so much sweeter!

Life has it’s way of schooling you.

I had reckless parents that when you went shopping with them, they suddenly took off and left you there, right in the middle of nowhere, meaning in the shopping street of a big city.

And so I became map-literate and had topographic maps of all areas around me. I would have found home. Even without a compass.

At age 5, I started collecting maps and knew everything around me.

Same in life: Whenever I get punished for whatever, I grow a little.

Today I am a GPS nerd walking the forest (sometimes at night) with 2 to 6 m precision. And later adding my tracks and infos to the OpenStreetMap project.
They are better than the official maps, including all details.

People go: “Oh that is dangerous”…

No, animals and rough terrain are not dangerous, women are.

And MGTOW is about navigating. Even if you know how to drift as good as you can, a GPS will help in staying accident free.

I was “living in the fast lane” in my job while still being happy.

Life induces no fear, but uncontrollable negative forces around you do. Especially if they get power over you, but I stopped that from the start: No women.
