Need some help re live streaming an event … NOT using YouTube.
Cost is of importance as I’m doing the filming as a favour for men … freebie.
I think I have my head around the camera end. Video HDMI out to HDMI in card in PC. Then video output software to internet connection.
From there it seems I either need my own server to run streaming software or outsource to streaming host at a cost.
Any ideas on how to work this part guys?

Anonymous42Why not U-Tube? it’s Free, it works! Or ask KM about archiving it here. When I had my website (streaming’s infancy), I ran into the same problem trying to host a video, it seems you need a program on your server to run it… A soon as time allows, I’ll be purchasing all new equipment and software for editing and publishing videos. My IEEE 1394 was bumped by XP service pack III, I don’t want to tamper with this unit giving there’s no support.
Like you I’m updating to HDMI, I want to do some flyby’s (from out of line of sight) real fast through the trees and close to the water. It won’t be the first plane is disintegrated f~~~ing around close to the water (full throttle), they really come apart VIOLENTLY!
P.S. I should rename it, Engine Lake! It’s for a ‘conference’ here in UK. Will inform closer .. shhh .. womenzzz listening.
YouTube require 1k followers and although they have this … ‘they’ are on youtube warnings so can’t use YT live until 2 days before event … so not enough time to test etc.
I have seen video of a guy who waterproofed a Phantom drone and flew it under water and in the air.
It’s on youtube somewhere.
I fear my kit and water … but all my clients are cool with water shots hahaha.

Anonymous42shhh .. womenzzz listening.
Yea I forget, that’s how good I am at ignoring them, it’s like their not even there!

I use condoms the keep my receivers dry, and I put the heavier parts of a SeaMaster under water (forever) while the rest of it went airborne in what looked like explosive confetti.
Could you create a website for your group and post your videos there? Is that an option for you?
I have it in the back of my mind that HTML5 will support some video formats without the pesky hacking vulnerabilities of Flash or Java.
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
Yes. Look into WOWZA which is something I have been using since before HD video was the norm. “WOWZA Streaming Server”. It’s excellent, relatively easy to implement (if you have your head around digital video and at least the basics of managing a server)…. and you can broadcast your own on-demand videos and audios.
I can tell you more about it if you have any further questions.
But go and check it out and see if it meets your needs. If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.- AuthorPosts
