It’s worse in Canada. In Canada, the AR15 is a “Restricted” firearm. It can only legally be fired at a government approved shooting range and the magazine capacity is limited to five rounds.

A legally owned AR15 has never been used in a crime in Canada but many Lefties want it banned completely because they think that it’s “scary looking”!

    I s~~~ you not…

I actually have an AR-15 mounted on my wall with the molon labe slogan and I can tell you right now, liberal or not, you sneak into my home I will make sure you’re at the receiving end of my rifle.

Criminals should not be treated like victims.

I owned one once but I never liked .223. Traded it for a .30 carbine. BUT my home defense is a High Standard 12 gauge, backed up with a Dan Wesson .357, and the final fall back a S&W air weight bodyguard. Go ahead assholes/criminals bring it.

NOTE: the shotgun is loaded with alternating 00 and #4, the Dan Wesson 38 +p 125grain SJH.

Which would also be illegal in Canada. “Unlawful Storage”…

In Canada, it is illegal to defend your own home. A guy was charged for shooting at people who were trying to burn him out of his house…

Tell me about it. But where do we start at reversing this? The current Liberal government was given a majority in the last election. The Liberal Prime Minister Turdeau knows that he must appeal to degenerate criminals because they form the voter base of his party…

A home invasion is a little bit like a war anything goes.

That homeowner owns a small tractor/loader/backhoe, why the f~~~ is there even a record of the attack and not a fresh mound of dirt somewhere on his property?

I would have shot both those f~~~ers dead and buried within the hour! I prefer to bury them in a protected wetland so as to “protect” the secret…

Among others, I have two AR-15s. One an actual Armalite and the other a Sig Sauer AR “pistol”.

Just a few days ago someone I know and generally respect went off on a rant about “assault rifles”. I listened for a few moments and then asked “What is an assault rifle?”

HIM: “AR… it means ‘assault rifle’.”

ME: “Ah, no. It means ‘Armalite Rifle’. So again, what is an assault rifle?”

HIM: “It’s a rifle that can hold a lot of ammunition.”

ME: “I have a Glock 17 handgun that can hold 20 rounds and more people are killed by handguns (probably Glocks, even) than rifles by a factor of, oh, maybe a hundred times?”

HIM: “Well nobody NEEDS a rifle…”

ME: “Actually, a long gun is far more accurate and easy to handle by a relatively inexperienced shooter than a handgun. They say in the military that if you’re drawing your sidearm to fight, you’re already dead. So anyone serious about home defense most certainly should be using a rifle. Oh, and it’s not about ‘need’, it’s about rights.”

HIM: “Well mass shooters use these rifles to kill people…”

ME: “Talking about mass shooters as a justification for implementing gun control is like talking about airplane crashes to justify taking away cars. Yes, they happen and they are tragic… but they represent a minuscule fraction of the number of people that die in any given year. If you really care about saving lives you’ll stop talking about guns and start talking about sugar and tobacco… two things which kill more people every DAY than AR-15 rifles kill in a year.”

HIM: “It’s a military style rifle that can be fired rapidly…”

ME: “That’s bulls~~~. Fully automatic firearms used by the military are generally not allowed to civilians in this country without a special permit so an AR can only be fired as fast as the person using it can pull the trigger. And when you say ‘military’ what you really means is ‘scary looking’. Admit it. The media furor over AR-15s is all about using the fact that these weapons are black and aggressive looking and occasionally get used in school shootings to scare regular folks into opening the door to what will ultimately become a total gun ban. That’s the objective. It’s not about saving lives or protecting children, it’s about disarming the public. Well we’re not having it.”

Here’s a tip, folks… if you don’t know anything about firearms, you might not want to engage in an argument with people who do.

But I have to say that the most compelling argument I’ve ever heard against gun control of any type is the following:

“Of the rights granted to us as U.S. Citizens by the Constitution, which ones are contingent on the individual proving in advance that they are capable of safely and properly executing that right? Do you have to pass a test to be able to vote? Do you have to meet some government established requirements in order to speak your mind or practice your religion? Do you have to provide the police with a document saying you are individually exempt from unlawful search and seizure or from self incrimination or from having soldiers placed in your home by the military? Are there ANY rights that are denied to you by default and for which you must prove your worthiness to exercise before they will be allowed to you? No? Then why should the 2nd amendment be considered any differently?”

Engaging an anti-gun person on firearm ownership is ultimately futile. Lefties are inordinately stupid to begin with. The ones that scream the loudest are the ones who know the least about guns and gun laws. And when you try to explain things to them they’ll tell you that you’re wrong even though they don’t actually understand what you’re talking about.

Turdeau is a prime example of this. Before the last federal election, he was adamantly critical of a slight change in the gun paperwork laws implemented by the previous Conservative government. It was clearly evident that he was completely clueless about the change that he was protesting against.

However, his whining was effective. It gained him political support from the people who are just as clueless and willfully ignorant as he is…

It always amazes me that so many liberals (and even folks who are apolitical, but uneducated on firearms) are so frightened at the mere sight of a gun — yet they don’t give driving a second thought, despite the fact that it’s probably the most dangerous thing the average person will do on a regular basis.

I used to have to make semi-regular visits to a company that my employer used for manufacturing and warehousing services. That was always a good time — the owner of the place and his head graphic designer (a man) were both veterans and very strong supporters of the Second Amendment. I walked into the designer’s office one day and there was an AR variant sitting on his couch. He picked it up, handed it to me, and asked how I liked it. Good times, indeed.

I tried to explain the workings of a small single shot B.B. gun to a Liberal. They refused to even pick it up even after showing them that the chamber was empty.

The Liberal is incapable of processing rational thought. They are impervious to logic. This is why I have little hope of society ever changing for the better. There’s no starting point for a fix when so many people have zero capacity for simple reason and rationality…

Fair has nothing to do with it.

If your kid gets his stupid ass shot and killed while breaking and entering, well that’s just God’s way of telling you you should have done a better job raising that kid.

Seriously, if those liberal idiots spent more time teaching their kids what’s right instead of what’s “fair” they would still be alive today.
