Letter to Gloria Steinem

I saw Gloria Steinem speaking at the “Women’s March” the day after the Trump Inauguration. She spoke out against “Violence Against Women” and I felt like I wanted to respond.

Gloria:
     I saw you on television a few months ago speaking at the Women’s March the day after the Trump Inauguration. Like yourself, I’m a strong believer in women’s rights and I want us to all get together and SMASH THE PATRIARCHY! However, I was somewhat confused by a statement you made complaining about “violence against women”. I’m perplexed by this, why should a feminist leader complain about “violence against women” if that’s what women want? As a single man trying to meet women in California, what I’ve found is that the “nice guy” who wants to buy flowers for women and take them out to dinner doesn’t have a chance and is likely to get dumped in favor of hoodlums and guys who beat women up.

     For example, I was dating a chick named Rachel. I tried all of the romantic “nice guy” stuff to get Rachel to like me–buying her presents, opening doors for her, buying flowers, dinner, etc. Rachel insisted she only wanted a friendship. She refused to even hold hands with me. On Valentine’s Day I gave Rachel a flower and she threw it on the ground and stomped on it and started screaming, “I’M NOT YOU’RE GIRLFRIEND! DON’T GET ALL DOEY-EYED AND THINK THAT I’M YOUR GIRLFRIEND JUST BECAUSE IT’S VALENTINE’S DAY–I’M NOT YOU’RE GIRLFRIEND!!

     So, I stopped seeing Rachel. About a year later I talked to her on the phone and she complained, “My BOYFRIEND BEATS ME UP EVERY NIGHT!! I’ve been in and out of jail for the past 6 months for domestic violence!!

     Another woman I dated was named Lori. I bought dinner for the 2 of us one night and we ate at her house. Later that night, we went back to the bedroom and watched TV. I put my arm around Lori and tried to kiss her. She said she “didn’t want to have sex with me, because she wasn’t in love with me.” She said she was in love with a woman named Darcy who was in a mental hospital. So, I gave up on Lori. A few months later, I talked to Lori on the phone, she was crying.” Darcy broke into my house! She was drunk and she beat me up and trashed my apartment!”, she sobbed. She said that it went on for hours and finally the police came and arrested Darcy. “I love her so much!” she added paradoxically. Of course, I’m sober, don’t beat women up, and bought dinner for Lori, so she wasn’t “in love with me.”

     My friend Calvin had a similar story in the 1980’s. He was dating a chick named Vicky. Vicky was in the car with him and her ex-boyfriend started following them. He was stalking Vicky. He took out a gun and started shooting at Calvin’s car. Later, she seemed frightened, so Calvin told her she could stay at his house. A few months later, she broke up with Calvin and went back to the other guy–the one who was shooting at her.

    So, I’m somewhat confused when I hear you and other feminist leaders complaining about “violence against women”. Why deprive them if that’s what they want? Is it possible that the leaders of the feminist movement are wrong and that women don’t want loving , romantic men, but instead prefer hoodlums and addicts who beat them up? Please clarify. Because I’m concerned about women’s safety and the future of the women’s movement I eagerly await your reply.

You could also send her countless tweets of women who said “Chris Brown can beat me any day”.

Tom Leykis also said “That’s what she WANTS! That’s what she PREFERS! That’s what she thinks she DESERVES. To be treated like CRAP.”.

I refuse to allow a woman to draw me into violence.

I refuse to treat women like s~~~ to successfully maintain a relations~~~.

God help you OP. I can’t take more than three seconds of that demon c~~~. I’ve despised her for over forty years. Yes, I have many similar stories as you in my past.
