An educational event for video game design students at the University of Southern California was canceled after administrators decided that the event’s all-male panel was not diverse enough.
An event called “Legends of the Gaming Industry” planned for April 20 was canceled by USC Games Director Tracy Fullerton after the school’s administrators decided that the all-male panel “didn’t reflect the diversity within the USC community and within the gaming industry at large.”

I objectively wonder due to ignorance, the number of seats on the panel? 7?
versus
How many seats would have to be on the panel for it to even allow mathematical accuracy?

E.g. if women compose 5% of all gamers, wouldn’t there have to be twenty seats total for one to be a proportionate representation?
E.g. or if there were 7 seats on the panel and women are 5% of the players, then wouldn’t 0 filled by women be accurate? (100/7=14 ….. 5% = 05 so ~2/3 of THAT seat should go to men)

Here is the fundamental question about all of this so what? So what if there are no women in the panel what exactly changes if there are no wimins on the panel. How exactly do the audience benefit from “diversity” how does this provide a substantive benefit to the audience? How does this benefit out weight the expert advice of the panel which could be invaluable to the students?
These students are paying customers to this institution and they deserve better service. There was and still is no reason for the event to be canceled.

Bravo, MG-Tower! In my anger, I cannot find the right words to articulate MY feelings about this. Thank you for being the word-smith that I am not.

Nonetheless, I’ll put my two cents in. Why, oh why, do these c~~~s insist on infiltrating every sacred male-only gathering? It seems like men are ok with allowing women to congregate with their own kind without worry of interference from men. We aren’t exactly barn-storming bridal and baby showers, demanding equal representation from us. So, why must they invade our spaces?

From the time I was a kid, bitches have always invited themselves to our treehouse, to the Boy Scouts, along with team sports. Even in adulthood, they can’t keep to themselves. It goes on with them wanting to be firefighters, cops, and now Special Forces in the military. The gatherings of men in social fellowships such as the Elks/or whatever Men’s Lodge are no longer guaranteed to provide a safe haven for men from women.

In hearing from the gay culture, I find that gay men aren’t exactly thrilled when a group of bitches invade their nightclubs because they are having a bachelorette party. Whereas I’ve never considered that before, I could sympathize with them. I don’t exactly think I would be welcome in a dyke bar, nor would I ever consider it.

At 47, I consider myself a recreational gamer. I know that I lack the talent to match up with anyone online in any game. I’ve tried when XBOX Live first came out. It seems that just when I thought I was the John Rambo of First Person Shooters, I would be humbled by a 14 year old.

I no longer play online. However, these game studios have created some masterpieces lately. The storylines, character development, and overall value in entertainment is quickly evolving into another medium that is competitive with the motion picture industry and network television. I hope like hell the gaming industry listens to its wallet and not some PC bulls~~~ agenda that the bitches have come up with.

So far, my single player campaigns along with this website are my escapes from the female insanity that is sweeping the nation. I wish there was a Keymaster that swept the floors of the gaming industry of c~~~s. Alas, there is only one Keymaster and he is needed here far more.

In other articles, it was mentioned that the event was cancelled FOUR HOURS before it was supposed to begin.

This means the speakers were either already there or en route.

Some students were also scheduled to show these execs software they developed. So all the preperation, time and opportunity GONE with the wave of a c~~~ wand.

So in other words an educational opportunity for the paying students at USC was canceled thanks to the bulls~~~ politics its administration. Clearly USC is more interested in pushing a political agenda than providing students (customers) educational value for their tuition dollars.

So students should respond by taking their tuition dollars somewhere else. And employers should respond by ignoring any USC graduate applicants because clearly they are being educated in political correctness, not how to make decent games.

A USC education is not good educational value for money, and so USC graduate employees can’t be good value for wages.

So given that so many schools are following this business model of selling “politically correct” low education value (and therefore low employability) for high tuition dollars, how can anyone be surprised that men are sensibly walking away from higher “education”?
