I say go for Pimsleur bro, that one is better than Rosetta in my opinion. It’s also very repetitive, and it makes you feel cool when trying to imitate the accent of the language. I still remember certain phrases from listening to it.
Btw if any of you guys is down to learn Spanish, I can teach you a thing or two. π
No more hassles, no more nonsense, no more drama. Long live MGTOW!

For some reason, I did horrible in Spanish. Not sure why… It would be nice to learn that too. The latin district is only a few miles from me. I’d love to be able to converse with them; as well as the latinas. π
For me the best way is to speak the language first – forget about written stuff until you can speak it. This is how you learnt English right?
The filthy words and curses are easiest to remember I do not know why you can learn more quickly that way but DON’T use this method on anyone if you value your health.
Youtube is good – also go to foreign news websites and listen to them. They will usually be the accepted form of the language spoken today.
DO NOT TRANSLATE IN YOUR HEAD. Learn the language as if you were a native speaker – from the ground up. People who are good in languages ‘step-into’ a language. They do not stand outside of it and try to make sense of it in their own language. You will fail that way.
Remember language is about concepts. Many languages have concepts that cannot be translated or rationlised. Eg in Hindi and Mandarin there are male, female and neutral words. So try to be open-minded.
Above all HAVE FUN. This is what you signed up for.
PeaceYumbo has some great comments above.
Duolingo is a good one. Also italki.
Duolingo is a great START. ITALKI IS GOLD.
You can get 1 on 1 coaching, speaking the language from DAY 1 from native speakers. My Spanish teacher was HOT, from Argentina and cost me Β£9 an hour. Her undivided attention for a couple of hours a week – beats rosetta stone etc OUTRIGHT.
You can learn from a textbook but speaking with someone else will teach you so much more. First lesson will be NERVE RACKING but it gets better π
