This past June my oldest graduated and my extortion(child support) got cut by 40%. I took what I saved and secured a nicer place that is twice the size of where I was. I moved in a couple of weeks ago. I still have over 3 years of extortion left but now it doesn’t cost me near as much. I considered buying a home for cash but that would have drawn some red flags. The ex is aware I moved to another place and is OK with it. She figured I would upgrade now that I’m not paying her as much anymore. If I would have bought than she would have filed a motion immediately. C~~~. Once extortion runs out I can finally buy what I want. Driving a 15 year old vehicle always seems to keep her from actually thinking I have anything.

What is sickening is that you have to live like you are poor even though you are not. She and the system will NEVER come after you if it looks like you have nothing. If I bought a brand new car I would be back in family court faster than my head could spin. Extortion can’t end soon enough. End of rant.

Deciding to throw your money away on rent or drive some piece of s~~~ car just because you don’t want the ex to come after you is stupid. Keep it out of reach of her grubby hands and you’re good to go.

Same here, her new wallet also bought out my share of the marital home and took over the mortgage. I bought a rental property with that money and the rental money covers the mortgage and child support.

I also manage to save 40% of my take home salary, so I have a decent five figure sum in the bank which is my f~~~ you fund. Depending on how much I can save and how Brexit goes I might just buy another property.

When I was married I practically lived month to month due to my ex-wife wanting to spend every penny she could (she didn’t work). Just goes to show that without a woman draining all your money it is easy to build up savings. I drive an 11 year old car and if my ex wife asks for more money I just plead poverty and say “I don’t have any money, if I did do you think I would be driving this?”.

I have learned to realise that owning expensive stuff is just a self induced hassle. I have a six year old laptop, an £80 two year old phone and a £1200 11 year old car from eBay. All of them work perfectly, I see no need to replace them and would certainly never get in debt for a car. I love it when people tell me about the car they lease and I know I could buy one cash, but I love the warm fluffy feeling I get knowing the cash is safe in the bank.

The newer vehicle stays at my brother’s house. He takes care of my Beamer as long as he gets to drive it on occasion. I just can’t imagine still having a c~~~ around trying to spend me into bankruptcy. Living monk mode has big advantages.

After ALL that CRAP and Screwing up my credit, I fought back, tried to take them to court, and MAGICLY it ALL DISAPPEARED!

My ex wife is laughing all the way to the bank. Two London properties I helped he buy (she’s foreign) and moaned when I asked for £10k from our divorce. if I wasn’t such a nice guy I could gave taken half, about £100k at the time.
