My internet access is more sporadic than before. I have successfully implemented the move to my truck and its camper shell, but the laptop did not survive to see it. Things are backed up on the portable HD, so it was not disastrous. I cannot help but to think that the departed laptop was like Moses who led me to the promised land of about 40 square feet in my truck’s bed, but did not live to see it, except that Moses would have survived a fall of four feet without breaking anything.

I can sympathize. Mine went belly up without warning. It was treated gently all its too short life. Oh, the warranty had “expired” even though it was mine for less than a year.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

My older laptop’s hard drive started making bad noises three weeks ago then stopped. Last night Windows crashed and I got all the files off, the system is running but increasingly unstable.

This is it’s second HD, the 1st died some years ago so I replaced it with another one laying around that’s about 6 years old now. Not sure if it’s worth putting another drive in it or not. It’s about 4 years old now and pretty run down looking. The only reason I have kept it this long is because it’s the second most powerful of my machines.
