I was just watching the old crime action show Knight Rider on one of our cable Chicago channels tonight (COZI TV) and I was wondering, would Knight Rider or Michael Knight be considered MGTOW? Either way, it’s a great show.

    I love the 80s!

    Funny as FVck!

When I was a kid I went with my Dad to a car show. KIT (the car) was there, Boss Hogg (sp?) the actor, and a bunch of Playboy bunnys. I Got pictures signed by the bunny’s.

Soon after the signing my signed photo went missing from my bedroom.

    No one knows why?

Yeah, I must have lost it at twelve years old.

I don’t know Resident, I watched the show a little but can’t remember how he behaved towards women.

I think I was more into Magnum PI, A-Team, Riptide, The Greatest American Hero, The Dukes of Hazard…Oh, also Hardcastle and McCormick.

The Riptide guys were pretty MGTOW, they lived on a boat and had tons of stuff/cars/helicopter…, no relationships that were long term as far as I can remember. Magnum was pretty MGTOW too, no long term relationships that I can recall.

One of the inspiring openings for a show for me has to be this as it invoked the idea that technology can fix anything:

Marriage: About as appealing as wood-chipper diving.

Maybe we reminisce about the 1980’s in such a positive way because back then, men were still portrayed as heroes.

Which we actually are. Maybe in an over exaggerated way, boosted by film industry special effects… But close to reality.

Men do fight wars and go after criminals…

These shows did not do the man-bashing as they all do today. And that reflects on our love (?)(sarc.) for today’s TV programs.

And our boycotting of the movies that have gotten c~~~ier and c~~~ier every year. With the culmination seen in “C~~~busters”…

We don’t spend our money on take our valuable time to go to see “mommy’s speak”…

In July of 2018, this honey pot forum was sold out to an unidentified NPC sock puppet and troll organization. Most independent thinkers and writers migrated to other MGTOW forums as a result of the never-ending infighting and deliberate trouble starting caused by members who were given "carte blanche" by the admin to do whatever they want. Before my departure, I only left a few thousand cat pics here to comfort and ridicule the feminist owners who now run this place. Their background agenda is to make MGTOW look like a club of losers the public eye. And during the course of 2019, they actually managed to destroy almost all other MGTOW venues as well. Here is the truth about "theindependentman.org" aka "TIM" which was created as an extended workbench to further divide the community. When you register, they install a spyware Zombie cookie on your browser that does all kinds of things the user does not know of: http://www.filedropper.com/essay-on-the-removal-of-malware-cookies-used-by-tim

He’d love them and leave them, but it was almost always after he saved them. I’d lean toward him being more of a White Knight in a black sports car, so maybe a PUA. He also always went wherever the foundation sent him and his mechanical genius car fixer was a girl.

It might be one of NBC’s earliest attempts at you go girl, and it was a deadly weapon pointed right at the hearts of 12 year old boys.

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.

I’d say that there was a better sense of equality back then there was now. It wasn’t uncommon for a woman to step up and play the role of a hero in some sort of way. As pointed out, Kit’s mechanic was a woman. There was a million dollar woman. Daisy was more then just a pretty face. Charlie’s Angels. Women were told they could do what they wanted.

There was also plenty of women in traditional roles as well. Women didn’t have to step up and be independent.

The biggest difference (from my memory) was that women didn’t have to emasculate men in order to be brave, be a hero, be equal. They just had to do it. Now it seems that’s not enough. Not only do they have to achieve, but they must make men look bad to do it.

    Ok. Then do it.

This sounds about right, I have a real hazy memory of the show, but I do now remember the female mechanic and the c~~~y PUA attitude of Hasselhoff. Magnum may have been similar now that I think about it, but not to the extent that the Hoff was.

At least back then it was more of a cool twist than propaganda like it is these days.
