Most of you have probably heard (unless you are not from the USofA and don’t give a f~~~) Kid Rock AKA Robert Ritchie is going to make a run at a Senate seat.

    Some random thoughts:
Mr. Ritchie is not the idiot buffoon he portrayed himself as.

He might make an excellent Senator or he might make a horrible Senator. If he is successful only time will tell.

Regardless, the Founders envisioned a place where citizens governed from, by and for the people. Kid Rock, just like DJT are exactly what the founders wanted. Not lawyers and not career statesman.

His music is not my cup-o-tea, especially his early stuff. Wether I like his music or not is irrelevant.

I believe him to be exactly what he claims to be, a Patriot.

Right or Wrong, Good or Bad we need regular dudes (debatable if Ritchie is a regular dude) to hold office.

Well as someone who lives in Michigan I would vote for him over Debbie Stabenow. The fewer career politicians in government the better.

As long as he doesn’t start acting like Al Franken. There’s just something about entertainers getting into politics that leaves me queasy, but if he’s going to replace a bad senator more power to him.

    Amen bro.
At first I was not sold on the Trumpster but the fact that he was not a lawyer and not a career gooberment man intrigued me.

AFAIK the last dude we had (before Trump) that was not a lawyer and not a career gooberment man was Regan. He had his warts but he was my Commander and Chief.

Kid Rock also intrigues me. He is clearly a Patriot. Has all the fame and wealth a man can ask for, so why run? More fame? More Money? My Spidey Sense says no, these are not the reason.

Fair ’nuff. OTOH there have been a few entertainers that became civil servants that didn’t suck. Franken is not one of them.

I didn’t mean this to sound like a plug for the guy. I can’t vote for him so whatever. I just wanted to point out that he is not stupid and is a Patriot.

The peeps of Michigan will decide.

That depends on if the Michigan state government and Trump Administration can get to the bottom and clean up the voter fraud issues in Detroit and Flint.

True. I was pretending make believe rules where everything is above board. You are correct, things are not above board. Detroit cast more votes than they had legal voters. Problem much?

Still the idea of a true Patriot vs. a scummy lawyer appeals to to me.

I look forward to it. I am waiting for the first scripted F-bomb in a political speech. I’m ready for anyone new. I lean much further libertarian than the current GOP, and I am ready to see about 35 of those assholes get booted out of the Senate.
    .
It’s a crying shame that those losers cannot toss Obamacare onto the s~~~ heap of history and start over. Hell, if they just plain toss it out and do nothing else we’d all be better off.

I’d vote for him. I hear he’s a nice guy irl. I never met him despite meeting lots of rock singers when I did security. But I’m sure I’d enjoy his company.

I’ve met Sully of Godsmack and even can call him a friend when he’s in town. He’d never run though. He’s a heroin addict and they’d never live it down even though he’s been doing a lot better. (Still falls off the wagon from time to time though.)

My mother was disgusted at the thought of Kid Rock running not cause of Kid Rock but his association with Ted Nugent. Whom again…I don’t think Ted Nugent is a bad guy.

Truly he knows the American dream.

The GOP wants it to die on it’s own, that way the liberals can’t come back and try to blame the GOP for removing it. It will fail in about 6-12 months, just gotta wait a little while longer. More and more insurance carriers are pulling out of obamacare, it’s only a matter of time before it collapses.

He would have my vote if I still lived in Mich.
The biggest advantage he has is that he deeply cares about his state.
This has been proven over and over again in his words and his deeds.
