Men are at a time when panning for gold in a urinal has a higher probability of success than finding a faithful and loving woman, it is time to go your own way.....

Ooh, excellent, Jeremiah, I love sci-fi short films. I’ll watch it tonight when I get home from work.

Short of the Week is a great place to find short films, and they have a ton of sci-fi as well.

Alive in Joburg is particularly good. And only 6 minutes long.

It is just a short Pete—If it were my short I would say that it appears we were testing humans with some kind of chemical for whatever reason, and it turns us into a sort of zombie weird creature, similar to the creatures in the movie “I am Legend”…Great flick if you haven’t seen it….

I love this type of movie. When I get home I’m gonna check it out.

    Got it JJ Many thanks!

BUT I didn’t care much for I am legend — I much prefer the original Omaga Man. Sorry Will Smith ain’t no Charleston Heston!

Pistol Pete, I really liked “I Am Legend” except for the digital zombies — they were not convincing. It was like watching cartoon zombies. But “Omega Man” was so different that it feels like a totally different story. It’s a classic.

HELL NO he isn’t, and I have never heard of Omega Man???? Is this an older version of the same story????

Yes, it is absolutely the same story. The original book is titled “I Am Legend” and the movie of the same name follows that story pretty well, whereas “Omega Man” is a movie loosely based on the “I Am Legend” book.

You have to see it. Anthoney Zerbe as the leader of the “zombies” kicks ass. And this is one of the first movies that has inter racial sex—I’ll just leave you with that one—oh and the 60s muscle cars he tools around in ROCK!

Holy s~~~, JJ, that short was awesome!

Clearly this is not just a stand alone short, but a short made in order to pitch the concept to a studio to get funding for a feature film. Excellent find!

I’m a humungous fan of zombie films. And while rattling around on the interwebs tonight, I found this little gem.

And this one is light-hearted yet totally awesome. One of my all-time favorite sci-fi shorts.

Cost of Living. It is 9:32 long. Enjoy.

Scary but it’s true. Maybe in fifty years, Humanity won’t needed for a war. Just to trigger it.
