So I saw this little headline on yahoo this morning while skimming through the news…

Ugh: Kesha may be dropping ALL charges against Dr. Luke

First thing I thought was oh sweet…a guy with no evidence against him beat false rape charges…and as I read the article they couldn’t help but say…

And we really can’t judge her. She tried to escape her contract and escape from Dr. Luke, but her request was denied. She’s been embarrassed, harassed, and dehumanized, with Dr. Luke even asking for access to her medical records to break therapist-patient confidentiality and find out what she was saying about him. Not cool, and a very scary precedent for survivors and victims of sexual violence.

WTF? She makes what to the best of anyone’s knowledge other than hers or Dr. Luke’s are false rape claims, she has literally zero evidence to support them, and she’s a survivor of sexual violence? She’s about as credible as someone who claims to have survived an alien abduction. So much for innocent until proven guilty. I hope she gets hammered financially and socially with his counter suit, and hopefully these false claims make her so toxic its the end of her career as well.

This whole thing stinks of false charges. It is a good thing that he is getting off the hook, although the cost in dollars, time, and reputation will still be his to pay.

You’re forgetting that in today’s Court of Public Opinion even being SUSPECTED of anything wrong towards a woman is an instant guilty plea-even after the facts.

At the end of the article they have a tweet from Lady Gaga supporting Kesha and saying that “Isn’t it strange that it’s OK to own a woman this way”.

So to be held to a contract is tantamount to ownership in the world of Lady Gaga and other Kesha supporters.

This contract is not binding for life. It has terms, it’s just that Kesha doesn’t like them.

I can think of one contract that it is impossible to get out of with your skin attached and which is entered into for life, for your entire life, the marriage contract.

What I gathered from reading it is, she decided to drop the charges at or around the time that her therapist could be brought into it? Sounds like she was about to end up getting caught in her lie and pulled the plug before the hammer fell.

I liked the part where they try to make her into the victim.

What it did is let other singers know this: You’re gonna finish your damn contract, so think about it before you sign. You wanna break it? you will suffer the consequences signed within. Yes. You will have to live with the results of a decision you made………….like a big grown up girl……Just like anyone else in the contract. Special Snowflake status not included.

Nothing is easy about coming forward with allegations of sexual assault and sexual violence, and we are sending Kesha as much love as we possibly can. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: #FREEKESHA.

The real scary precedent is that women are presumed innocent and men are presumed guilty. Can’t even admit they’re wrong even when they drop the charges. Women are truly insane, denying reality.
