I don’t think these accusers are lying. I’m not saying the women aren’t capable of lying, I just don’t think these women are lying in this case. I’m not saying I think the incidents actually happened either. It’s entirely possible, probable even, that these women believe the incidents happen the way they remember it. People can’t remember s~~~ after 35 years, and can replace important details of events with what feels right to them, or conveniently fits whatever their current agenda is.

Lying and payoffs would be too risky. If they get found out, the dems are done. And if you’re really going to make up a story, it would be much better to have actual rape then ‘weak’ attempted rape and teabagging. A woman who actually believes her story, with loose details, is much more powerful.

As well, the left didn’t do this with Gorsuch. If it was all lies, why not use it then? Perhaps they believe it’s unlikely to stick and delaying the confirmation doesn’t gain as much as it does now? Perhaps because #metoo wasn’t as big of a thing as it is now?

My opinion…I don’t really care if it’s true or not. These events as told don’t outweigh 35 years of character.

Because there was no elections going on back then. The reason why Kavenaugh is being treated the way he is, is because there’s a major election coming up and the Dems are banking on winning.

Bingo. Kavanaugh is an existential threat to the progressive “advocacy” judicial trend. He’s not going to go out of his way to change Roe v Wade (for example), but his presence on the court means nothing like it is going to happen for at least 30 years. It also means SCOTUS will probably be more out of the president’s way when the president is actually being lawful, and more in his way when he’s being Obama.

I think this is going to backfire on the dems.

– the conservatives are angry with this freak show and they may be better motivated to turn out and vote
– Kavanaugh may be confirmed. And payback may be a bitch.
– I saw a news article that claims that Ford’s letter was not genuine and was in fact altered.
– I wouldn’t be surprised if Ford declines to testify
