With Father’s Day coming up, it’s time to think about dear ol’ dad. Since I’m an eBay shopper (when I can’t find something in the stores), I shopped on eBay for something I know he’ll love. It’s a dragon statue with a glowing crystal ball. He loves mean and ferocious dragons. I gave him a big collection since I was a teenager.

    Here it is: https://www.ebay.com/itm/FIERCE-BLUE-DRAGON-on-Rocks-Statue-with-Lighted-Medallion/223219906243?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2648

I ordered it now just to make sure it gets here on time. Has anyone else decided what to get their fathers for Father’s Day?

I would give them the same thing I tell people I’ll give them on their wedding day, my condolences, a card with a few good divorce lawyers, and the promise that when it’s over I’ll talk about how stupid it was too get married with them.

Murph ~ There is nothing brave or manly about entering into a contract with somebody which allows them to take your money, assets, children, and decades of your future income on a mere whim.

Don’t want to be a downer and I think it’s nice that you want to do something for your dad, but when I was a kid growing up, we never did anything on days like that. We only celebrated Christmas and sometimes Easter and maybe did something on Halloween. Never even made a big deal out of birthdays. Was lucky to get a birthday cake.

If someone wants to do stuff on Father’s Day, or Mother’s Day, or someone’s birthday, that’s fine for them, but for me, I like it better just ignoring those days. If I want to do something special for someone, I’ll just do it on any given day.

I had some friends throw me a birthday party once. I really didn’t like it. Didn’t like all the attention and how it was all just about me. It made me uncomfortable. It was just another day. Most years I forget that it’s my birthday. I have to use a calculator to make sure how old I am.

The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.

As a father who raised my son 50/50 I expect to get a phone call on fathers day. He makes special cards for important presents. Maybe I’m being negative but all I got on my birthday was a call. I gave him 500.00 on his birthday last month.

I expect a phone call, nothing more. I’ll let you guys know what 14 years of solo parenting and 300K in attorneys fees gets you in terms of a father’s day present.

Spending time with him is all he wants. My dad is a cool 66 years old. He’s in good shape and is retiring this year. His ambitions the last year or so is to take up Thru-Hiking. He has slowly been researching as if taking the MCATs but instead, the research is on the best hiking equipment and listening to thru-hiker channels on Youtube. The guy plans to hike the CDT trail, 3000 miles from New mexico to Canada.

I love the old man and cherish time with him. I know one day, it wont be as fun to hang out with him because he will be too slow and old and shvt. So I make the time count now. For his Birthday, I gave him $100 which he tried to give back. He just wants me to go hike with him, which I will. Im blessed to have a Dad I like, even though he is sort of blue-pill and still married. But he is kinda red pill too, a little. He’s humble.

    A divorce.

Yeah, if only they were cheap enough.

A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own
